Wow! Only our second cruise and I get to start the thread. We loved our first cruise on the Disney Wonder to the Mexican Rivera we just had to sign up for another one. We are so excited that I will go ahead and throw out there that I would love to start an FE group for this cruise. The kids loved getting gifts in their Fish Extender everyday. Already thinking up some great ideas so come on and join in. If it gets too big we can always break it into two groups.

Look Forward to seeing old friends (whom we met on previous cruise) and meeting new ones.:cool1:

Hello there! I'm Sandi... We also just got home from our 1st Disney Cruise on the Wonder to the MR. (April 22nd.. I'm still swaying) We had so muh fun. We also booked the Alaska date of Sept 2nd... Not 100% we're going to keep it, as it would cut into school for my son (who would be 10, turning 11 on the last day), as well as it being so cold, and dark. Want to check into some of that before we decide to keep our date! Also herad that Alaska isn't really a kids cruise, though with Disney I find that hard to believe.

We wanted to do an Alaska one because we were actually stationed in Anchorage, Alaska many years ago and always wanted to bring our two oldest kids back and show Alaska to our two youngest. Also since we lived there we know that actually the sunrise and sunset times are around 6 am and 7 to 8 pm. They lose five to seven minutes a day up til Winter Solstice on Dec. 21st. It will be cold but I have been told by those who have gone on this trip that it is one of the most beautiful places Disney Cruise goes to. Just wanted you to know before you make your decision. There is no where we have ever been that is like Alaska. It is Beautiful!!! Hopefully we will see you there!:)

Hello all. How funny our last cruise was also the MR March 26-April 1 2012 and we have done a land & sea to the Bahamas. We will be doing the Alaskan cruise for our 25th anniversary and will be taking our kids (sons 22 & 24 and daughter 11) We are really looking forward to it.

Sandy, I would not worry it really is not that cold, we used to live in Finland which is about the same latitude and September is my favorite time of year there, thus the anniversary. And it will not be dark, in fact I am a little bummed that it probably won't be dark enough to see the Northern Lights. And as for taking your son out of school, it will be a bigger learning experience than he would get if he was in classes. DD has been taken out of school for all our trips and I have never regretted it.

We would LOVE to be in an FE group. In fact I have started to make FE gifts in the hopes that we would have a group and it not I would just randomly hand them out. Do you want names and ages and room numbers? :cheer2:

We just got back from our third Disney cruise aboard the brand new Fantasy. We booked this cruise and right now we plan on keeping it.
We were on the Wonder back for a Memorial Day cruise to the Bahamas for our 25th wedding anniversary. Then we went on the Wonder for the NYE cruise in Dec '10 - Jan '11 which was the last cruise for the Wonder on the east coast prior to moving to the west coast for the first time. Then as I said we just got back from a Memorial Day 7 night western Caribbean which we took for our 28th wedding anniversary.

We have participated in the FE group on all three of our cruises and I was even the keeper of the list on the NYE cruise (so if I am needed in that capacity I wouldn't mind). Our first cruise we had about 17 participants and the second about 27 or so. This last cruise we had 46 that participated. It is fun and a good way to make friends.

Looking forward to chatting with each of you more as we go and meeting with others that will hopefully join us.

Hi,
We're booked on this cruise, and looking forward to our first cruise to Alaska and our first time on the Wonder! We would also be interested in the FE exchange, and have already come up with some ideas. Looking forward to meeting fellow Disboarders.

Welcome Twokats and DisneyDream2B. I am so excited for our trip next year. Twokats would you like to head up the FE exchange? I think that would be great.

Hello everyone!

So we had the 5/27/13 Alaska cruise booked but my sister had a scheduling conflict so we jumped ship (harhar!) and moved our cruise to September.

I'm bummed we have to put it off because if I had my way I'd be on a boat right now, lol!

Anyhoo, the cast of characters is myself, 34, and DH, 33, and my sister and her DH. She's on the disboards too so I'll let her intro herself.

So excited to cruise since this will be my 3rd, our last was 10/30/11 to Mexico on the Wonder. I love that ship!!

Can't wait to voyage with you all!!

Tori

That would be awesome if you can head up the list. We have only been on the one cruise so if you have experience with it that would awesome! Thank You!!

I will get back to you on our cabins and names soon since we may be needing to make adjustments due to one of our boys possibly getting married early next year. May have another room and person added.

We have also started working on our FE gifts. So excited and looking forward to getting to meet you all on the cruise.:yay:

We are also booked on this cruise and have just put down the deposit for the Vancouver-LA immediately following it.

Its me - Paula (39 by the time we cruise), my partner Robert (same age) and my Mum, Marian (lets just say she's a senior ;) )

We live in New Zealand and I think these will be cruises 6&7 for us.

Count us in for the FE gifts.

Welcom Paula and family! It is shaping up to be a great cruise.

We were just on the Fantasy and booked this cruise. We had it booked last year this time, but my Mom got sick and we had to move it. It is me (Terri) and my DH Brett. This will be out 5th cruise and the second on the Wonder. So after this we will be Gold. Because of luggage restrictions we won't be doing the FE this time.

Hi Paula! Didn't we just cruise together on the Hawaii?

We just booked this cruise in place of the Westbound Transatalantic 2013 that apparently is not going to happen. AND we booked the Vancouver- LA immediately following!

This will be my somethingteenth cruise and something(less)teenth for dh - not exactly sure.

We sure did do Hawaii, nice to see a familiar face :)

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Guess I need to get a new ticker made for these two cruises!

My fellow cruisers, I have good news :thumbsup2 and I have bad news :sad1:.

Bad news is we will not be on this cruise after all, which leads to the good news, we changed to the Sept 14 Panama Canal Repo from LA to Galveston!!!

I tried to figure a way to do both cruises and spend some time on the west coast, but my dh cannot afford that much time off at this time.

I will be very happy to talk to whoever does head up your FE exchange and tell them how I have done it to make it easy. I do apologize for not being able to help with that, but as I said I will be happy to advise.

Hope y'all have a fantastic cruise! pixiedust:

Glad to find this thread. DW, Kathy and I, Jim just changed to Alaska on September 2. Our first to Alaska but not with Disney. Have been on East Caribbean (1) and West Caribbean (3); one was maiden voyage of Fantasy and Westbound Panama Canal. Looking forward to talking with everyone and a great cruise.
Jim

Twokats, sorry to hear you won't be on our cruise. I guess if nobody else wants to head up the Fishextender group I can try. Just post or PM me your room number with guests and kids ages and any special occasions like birthdays and such and every so often I will update and repost the list. If it gets too big we can divide the FE group. I would suggest August 1st as a cutoff point for joining. Does anybody have other ideas or if someone else wants to head it up that would be OK with me too. I will start though.

room Guests

2511 Daniel (DS 24) & Toni (DS 22)
6124 Ray & Wendy (25th anniversary:hug:) & Abigail (DD 11)

We will also be on this cruise. This will be our 6th DCL cruise:cool1: and the 3rd on the Wonder. I have really been looking forward to this cruise to Alaska. This time there will be me Fairygrandmother, my daughter Mickey and her friend Chris. We will be traveling without any kids:confused3. My grandaughters did not want to go thought it would be too cold (their loss):rolleyes2. I love crusing with the mouse and am having a hard time waiting, but the good thing is that we will be spending 8 days at WDW in December:banana:, so that should tide me over. I am sure that we will be joining in on the FE exchange:woohoo:. More later.
