DH--39

DS--5
On our last morning we got up at 6. We had everything packed up and ready to go and were out of there by 6:50. I did a last room check and it looked clear, but found out later we missed the little $6 lightup sword DH got for DS (he gets one every year and it breaks within a month, but it is cheap and he really likes them). I think it was on the couch, and possibly when our room steward made the bed it went into the couch. Also, DD#1 found out over a week later she had left her swim team sweatshirt either in the oceaneer's lab or the theatre, but I called lost and found and they have it and are sending it to us!
We ate at Parrot Cay and got last pictures of Alun and Gavin. The kids really loved them, and DD#2 missed dinner the last night to eat in the clubs. They did seem rushed. Alun told us he has done 6 rounds on the ship--he said it is either 6 months on and 4 weeks off, or 8 months on and 8 weeks off. Either way he's been on the ship over 3 years. I hope he jumps to the Magic next year!
I got all teary when I saw the "see you real soon" banner but managed to get a picture of it to put on my desk at work. We were off pretty early although we weren't trying to be. It was real easy to get off the ship, although our deck 8 bags were the farthest away. They were all easy to find.
I can't say enough good things about this trip. When I filled out my comment card I even attached sheet of paper for the outstanding CMS--they give you a little space on your card, and I had too many! Alun, Gavin, our room steward, Tisa on the cruise staff, several people in the kids clubs, Manny in Shutters, the list goes on and on. Every time I had a good encounter I tried to make a mental note of it because I know CMs get recognition for outstanding service.
I am glad that my dad is taking us on that western cruise next summer because with 3 kids we could never afford it. The kids and DH are already grumbling about no parks in 2004, so we can't go into a point hoarding mode for more cruising either. I am very happy we got to do it. I encourage anyone who is waffling to go for it!
