I just got the ok from DH to start the planning :Pinkbounc

We are DVC members at WL and just love it. This is going to be a quick weekend trip (4 nights) w/o the kids. It's to celebrate our 10yr anniv and his b-day. We talked about staying somewhere new and he is interested in the BW for close proximity and walking to EPCOT and Studios.

I'm up for trying something new but part of me will hate to leave the Lodge! Especially in Feb when it's cooler and I love it's cozy feeling and the flickering lights at night.

Any opinions on trying the Boardwalk???? We're casual folk and I was a little dissappointed in their limited casual/quick service dining.

Where do you eat at BW? Are the restaurants fast? I don't want to waste time trying to get out n the morning. I love breakfast so I don't want a box of cold cereal in my room.

Thanks!!!!

We are DVC members too....At SSR & BWV and we love the Boardwalk.

We don't eat many sit down meals and we're not the type to eat in our room.

For breakfast, we usually go to the Boardwalk Bakery (a family tradition), but when we're in the mood for a sit down breakfast we go to either Spoodles or to Cape May at the Beach Club.

The quick service choices aren't that bad for other meals. The Boardwalk pizza window is wonderful & probably our favorite pizza at WDW. The Boardwalk Bakery offers sandwiches & there is also the Boardwalk To Go cart that has hot dogs & chicken sandwiches etc.

It's a quick walk over to Beaches & Cream and also to Tubbi's or the Dolphin Fountain at the Dolphin. We'll even go into Epcot just to have lunch or dinner..... :pug:

That's a big reason DH wants to try staying there (BW). Without kids we want to try more sit downs at EPCOT.

Oh decisions!!!!!!!!!!! I hate them :confused3

If you're going to be spending more time at Epcot and MGM since you'll be w/o kids, I'd stay at the BW. Trying all the places to eat on the Boardwalk and at Epcot is great.

If you get a chance, spend an evening at Jellyrolls. It's a blast.

You can also get hot breakfasts at the Yacht Club Galley and Fresh at the Dolphin. Go over to allearsnet.com and click on dining and menus. Check out the dining options at all the boardwalk area resorts....Boardwalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club, Swan and Dolphin.

Just curious..but how quick of a walk is it to these places?

Thanks!
