WL to FW campfire trans time?

We are staying at WL and want to go to the FW for the campfire. About how long do you think we should plan to get there? I assume it is fastest to take the boat b/c I know we can't park near the campground area.

I am trying to plan dinner ressies and I am wondering how early we'd have to eat to finish dinner and get there by 7:00. Even if we eat at WL I'd think we'd have to eat around 5 (unless we do CS) to eat and then get there. Anyone done this who has suggestions? JJ

You are correct the boat launch is the best way.You will have to take a bus from the Settlement Trading Post stop to the Medow Creek Trading Post and it is a short walk from their. I would allow at least an hour between getting the boat launch and catching the bus to Medow Creek.So if you eat at five and get the boat by 6PM you should be fine. Now that depends if you are seated by 5PM which does not always happen it depends how busy they are. May I suggest you eat at Trails End right their in FW This is a wonderful buffet and food is good as well as not all that expensive.

THanks for the info. Last time we did this we ate at Trails End. We had been trying to fit in some different TS restaurants, but for convenience it might be worth doing trails end since we can get there at 5 or 5:30, eat, and then catch the bus. Or else use our TS credits for something in the parks and just eat at Roaring Forks that night. Thanks!

BTW, do you think if we eat at Trail's end, 1/2 hour is enough to get from there to the campfire? Or will transpo take longer?

Sorry! Don't know the answer, JJ... Subscribing b/c I'd also like to know this info for our upcoming stay at WL.
