We just got a fabulous rate at the WL for our planned July stay.

We had previoulsy selected the Swan but are considering a change because of the rate.

Does anyone have any plusses or minuses about either resort?

We need to book this by Friday, so any help would be great.

WL has become our favorite resort -

What we love:

The view, no other hotels in sight (cannot see parks either)

The boats to other hotels and MK

The hot tubs

The proximity to MK

The roaring forks restaurant - the size is convenient for picking up some food quickly

the setting - you really don't feel like you are in Florida

There is a lot of info on the first 2 pages of the FAQ, part 4 thread.

We loved our stay at WL. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but they are beautifuly set up, plenty of closet space and drawers. The beds are high, so you can slide your suitecases under. Every room has a balacony (patio on 2nd).

The pool areas and beach are awsome. We had wonderful transportation during our Sept stay. Short waits for the boats and buses. I especially liked the little boat that went WL/CR/FW making it very convenient to eat at Trails End and Concourse Steakhouse.

It's a wonderful resort for families. We like the MK area because we spend lots of time at MK.

Check out my pictures in my link.

Books a woods view room and request a high floor in the north wing. We saw fireworks from our balcony every night (and we were only on the second floor). EWP nightly. Surrey bikes to FW. The geyser, the LOBBY, WCC, Artist point, Cub's Den. boat to MK, FW ,and CR. Great value!

Good:

Best themeing on-site. It's a really fun resort to just walk around and look at things!

Quick access to MK and other MK resorts.

I don't know about the Swan, but I sure like Roaring Forks over Tubby's at the Dolphin.

Resort package delivery from from parks.

You can charge to your room from the parks (Depending on your feelings, this would be a plus or a minus!).

"Bad":

The rooms are the smallest of the deluxe resorts at WDW. Not real small... just smaller.

If Epcot's your park, stick with the Swan.

I agree with everyone else!!! WL is our favorite too! I grew up going to FWR every year of my life, so that's probably why.:wave2:

Ok alot of good reviews for Wilderness Lodge so I guess I give you a Bad...It's awful when you have to leave the Lodge and go home. (Sniff-sniff)

We love the Wilderness Lodge. We always make a special trip to the WL when we are not staying there.

You will love it!
