Hello,
I believe the WL Cubs Den childcare is currently closed during construction. Does anyone know if/when it will reopen?

Might try asking on the Wilderness Lodge thread. Part of me was thinking this has been closed for awhile, even pre-construction, but I'm very much not sure about that. The folks on the WL thread are very knowledgeable!

We didn't use this service at this particular resort in the past, but I'm peeved about it. You can't really have a date night when worrying about having to take a boat and a monorail both ways to get to the closest kids activity centre now (closest is Lilo's).

I'm bummed, too. We have DVC at WL and we were looking forward to using this service. Now, maybe I just bring an older niece or nephew who gets to go to Disney with us and all it will cost them is 2 or 3 nights of babysitting.

That stinks. I know part of having a family vacation with little ones is getting some adult time after a busy day at the parks. My kids considered the day care centers and extension of the parks and looked forward to it. About the only thing that can help is to try and have your dinner near one of the 4 day care centers. If you have not been to AKL, I recommend that as after dinner at Jiko, you can explore the property or enjoy drinks at Victoria Falls or just sit in the rockers and enjoy some night time quiet savannah. Otherwise, you'll have to factor in travel time into the cost which is what stinks.

My kids are old enough now that we can either leave them in the room or let them stay at the park, but I feel your pain.
