We won't be going until June 2015...but just for fun... (since these are similar price points)
Which would you choose and why for 6 nights?
AKL CL
WL CL
Poly Garden View
Details: DH (30s), Me (30s), DS (9), DS (2.75), DD (2.75)
We can only go every 3 years or so.
As a larger family, this would be our only trip fitting in a room at AKL or WL.
We drive from GA so we have a car available (although we rarely used it even staying at AKL and CBR).
MK is the favorite park, but we would spend at least one day everywhere.
Our style is rope drop (or before) until early afternoon, then back to resort, then out to dinner, then bed.

Unless you see yourself using the lounges to replace meals--and even then I'm not sure at what point you break even with that--I would go with Poly Garden View. Or I would save my money and do WL or AKL without CL.

I would do WL club level.

1. Definitely staying in the MK area is a big plus with small kids.
2. The Poly would be first choice, but construction is an issue next year
3. Club level at WL is great.

Our favorite resort is the Poly and normally that would get my vote, but since your little ones are soon to be 3, I think I'd go with WL CL before you can no longer fit in one standard room at WL. We have stayed WL CL and I have to say that it is amazing. The food offerings are good, the lounge has plenty of seating that is arranged around the railing that overlooks the lobby, and the CL CMs are awesome :thumbsup2. We liked AKL as well (although have never stayed CL there), but if MK is your favorite park and there is a chance you will spend more time there over the others, I think WL would be the best choice. Good luck deciding, but I'm sure you'll have a great trip no matter which resort you choose as they are all great :wizard:.

WL is an incredible resort and while your kids are younger I'd try it first. The rooms are smaller than the Poly so I think WL would be a good choice first and then try the Poly another year. Also, WL has great MK access and I'm sure the CL would be amazing!

I would do WL or AKL since those will be out of the running for you after your little kids turn 3.

I had a similar dilemma! This is how I narrowed it down:

I Love, Love, LOVE the Grand Floridian. I could have done a garden view, but I know what it's like to have a theme park view and being able to sit on my balcony and watch wishes and the electrical water pageant. I figure if I am going to stay in one of the resorts that can see the magic kingdom, that a garden view would never satisfy me, so I ruled it out. Unhappily. That left me with the choice, like you, of AKL CL or WL CL.

So I ruled out AKL. Yes, it has animals. But so does Animal Kingdom park. I can see them there in Killimanjaro safari. And it's remote and only has bus service.

Wilderness Lodge is a very similar resort. And it has the boat to MK. You can also catch the boat to the CR, then hop the monorail to Epot. Much more convenient.

I am sure you will have a wonderful stay no matter where you choose to go. The WL just may be more convenient to MK since you have little ones.

So much love for WL. I never even really considered it before just looking at prices. Off to read WL thread....
