Cam I actually had thought about doing the Lance Armstrong Race but cant. BIL & SIL (who live in CA) will be in Vermont starting that weekend & we are driving up to spend a few days with them. I am kind of bummed, because now that might not even happen. Nurses are going on strike at hospital where John (DH) works, so there is a freeze on all vacations. I agree the 6.2 is perfect for the week before the ½ .
Happy Belated Birthday!
Howard Congratulations on being accepted into the MBA Program!
Judy, Melissa, & Dave Thanks for your conversation last week about waist packs. I ordered both the Strider & the Ultimate Direction Solitaire, since they were both reasonably priced. Couldnt decide which would hold all my stuff the best. I have been just wearing Columbia Trail/Water Shorts that have little zippered pockets on the sides of the legs. The stuff bounces around a bit, but Ive gotten used to it. Looking forward to trying the packs.
Sunny I purchased through SunnyShopper too.
Kristi Very cool..your GREAT tickets & Backstage passes for GooGooDolls. I saw them a few days before you here in Jersey, but we were way back in the lawn seats.
So very sorry to hear of your familys loss.
Kathy Thanks for the tip on the paced training music on I-tunes. Ill have to check it out.
Carrie Thanks for posting the photo of you, Scott, Kevin & Heather and the photos of the Coast Guard Race. Looks like a fun race except for finishing on an uphill. Congratulations on your times. Especially in all the heat!
Dave Glad the leg pain is improving. Glad you and DD enjoyed your races last night.
Mel I really like your idea of doing a race in every state. So far the only race I have done is the local running clubs 5k and I have already been thinking of other races that I would like to do at some point. New Jersey has a bunch of races. In October is The Jersey Shore Half Marathon
www.shoreac.org . The course goes through the Gateway National Recreation Area Sandy Hook, NJ. They also have a 5k called the Sandy Hook Lighthouse 5k. Atlantic City also has a Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k & 5k in October.
www.aksts.com John(DH), Sean(DS) & I are doing the Batsto Pig Iron 5k on Aug 13th.
www.batstovillage.org It is advertised as the 1st Annual, so we are hoping it will be a fun race that we can participate in every year. The course goes through Historic Batsto Village in Wharton State Forest. Im looking forward to reading everyones suggestions of races.
Christa Congratulations on signing up for the WDW Marathon!

As for me
.I am so very glad the heat & humidity are a little better today. I have been inside on the dreadmill this week and I am so looking forward to getting back outside. Last Sunday John(DH) & I did 8 miles at the reservoir in 2hrs 6min. It was a slow pace, but it was very hot & humid and the first 6 miles was with friends so that was at their pace.
Have a good weekend everyone! Stay Cool!
