Thanks for all the replies about the novice vs. intermediate training plan for the half. I was bored today and made up a schedule of each training plan. The intermediate plan looks scary!!!
I tweaked the novice plan and stuck with the long run distances (there's no taper, isn't that weird?
), but added speed work and more strength training. I have 3 weeks to make my decision, so I have time to think about it!
I do have some good news to share, I did my first post marathon workout today and it felt AWESOME!!!! I did 30 minutes on the elliptical (just over 3 miles
) and then did 3 sets on the leg extension weights. I was planning on doing the leg press too, but there was a line for that. I'll be happy when this New Year's Resolution thing dies down, there were people circling the ellipticals and treadmills like vultures!!
Welcome Maria!!
Great job getting back out there, Kristi! Awesome pace!!
Maybe I need to go bra shopping, I got a gift card from Target for Christmas I haven't used yet. Hmmm.
Jen and Heather--Fabulous job on the weight loss, you must be ecstatic!!!
I better go, Stephen is making dinner and I should help him.

but on lunch I did manage to buy a cleaner for my tm. It cleans inbetween the belt and base...I'm so excited...maybe this will improve my time. lol. Still having problems with my left hip, leg, ankle and foot, so I don't know what that's about.

I have to think the walking and the basket lifting count for something.
For me it would force me to fess up to the days I didn't do anything too...

). Stationary bike and weights this morning, then 4 miles tonight. I think that there are a couple of tri's that I want to do this spring, and I'd really love to do the Chicago Tri in August. I just feel so much better overall when I swim and bike along with running, so I figure as long as I'm training that way, I might as well sign up for a few races.
