Christa: Thanks for the update on your mom. She's one tough cookie, and I'll be thinking of her, you, and your whole family. I'm so glad you all have each other.
Mel: As far as your back story, I go for a sky-diving accident that led you into an alligator wrestling match for your life. In a tankini! Hope you're feeling better!
CarolA: Congrats on your race and your pace, not to mention avoiding the DLF!
Stephanie: I'm sorry to hear about your DH's grandmother. I hope you're all doing as well as you can be, under the circumstances. And thank you for volunteering at a race. 8 hours plus the finish line--I admire your fortitude.
Cecilia: I'm glad you made it through the storm okay and with little damage to the house.
Stacie: I'M excited about your 9 miles on the bike--does that count?
Carrie: Icy baths? I'm not that desperate...yet.

I love the way you "found" a break in your training. That's a great spin on a schedule mix-up. I love the yoga soreness, too!
Shan: Your DH is right. Running in the rain IS dedication, especially since you followed it by picking up wet, icky trash.
Kristen: Ice cream carbo-loading. Now that's a program I can really see myself following to a "T." Thanks for the suggestion.
Martha: Sounds like a great story about surfing, very titillating. I'll even buy you the wine!
Craig: XT as castor oil? That explains a lot. I think I prefer Kristen's carbo-loading plan. Your training program sounds like it's moving right along at a speedy pace. I hope the weather cooperates with you soon.
Kira: You're enjoying your
travel agent training, I hope, even if it leave you little time to work out. Do you even get to see any of Dallas?
Aloha Jeff: I'm sort of a masochist, so I'd LOVE to see pics of your training digs and all the scenery. Hey, someone has to live there. If it's not going to be me, it might as well be you.
Helen: Thanks for the news on Disney's interest in White Bay--could it have something to do with Adventures, I wonder? More important, it sounds like you're loving your adventures: kangaroos, platypus (or is that platypi) and beer, oh my!
Bill: It turns out I can't sit that still for that long, either, at least not without having my body protest. Who would have thought it would be harder on my legs than the Goofy? And you take it easy and recover, as it sound like that's what your body is telling you.
Krista: You make a good case for Cedar Point--I haven't been there in years. Training in Pgh is going fine, as long as I take it easy (read: avoid) the hills. It's actually sunny right now! Windy and snowing, but sunny! Hey, did you hear the news that
Steelers broadcaster Myron Cope died? I didn't know who he was, but he sounds like he was quite the Pgh institution.
Angie: I'm glad your training is going well, but I'm so sorry for your DH. I hope he gets over his stubborn streak and goes to the dr. (do as I say, not as I do...

)
SamSam: Vegas, huh? It sounds like you're seeing a little action; if not on a running course than somewhere else. It sounds like you're having fun!
Maura: WTG with the training, especially when it's tough. And a double

for all that snow shoveling...ew.
Leana: Yea! You're back and with an awesome plan!!! Just looking at your schedule makes me tired.
Liz: If it's not the Chicago snow, it's the wind....Hope spring is headed your way soon, along with a more relaxed work week and a new pair of comfy shoes. All are much needed.
As for me:
for me! Today is the first day in probably two weeks I've run that I've actually felt good doing it! Hopefully that means my knee is on the mend and that I've fine-turned my XT to help me strengthen it. Now if the weather would just cooperate with all my plans....
