Good evening fellow WISHers!
I'm sitting here watching a fascinating Monday night football game and thought of my WISH friends. On Saturday I ran 4 miles on the TM. I was over 3 miles into it (remember, I'm hurt and rehabbing so 4 miles is big for me) when the TM just stopped. That's right, it just stopped. Well,
!!! I jump on another TM but b/c I didn't know exactly where I was when it stopped, I did one full mile more which I know ended up being slightly more than 4 miles.
Then Sunday I decided to run 60 minutes. I decided to try my luck with running outside even thought there is ice and snow on the ground. We'd had a warm spell on Saturday and had a lot of melting. I have to say that for the first time in 10 days, my calf felt like I hadn't even hurt it!
I was happy. I got in a lot of distance and was feeling good.
This morning I got up early and hit the gym early. They are restricting folks to 30 minutes per cardio machine during peak hours (and 7:00 am is peak) so that's all I was allowed. But my calf felt great. I'll run easy the rest of hte week and go for 2 hours over the weekend. If that works, I'll run 4 hours the weekend before Christmas and that will be that last LR of the training schedule.
Calcio: um, ever hear of a rest day? You should try it sometime. Oh, and an ice bath! Does a world of good.
Stacie: talk to WWDave (aka Panda) as he is quite a race walker and can tell you if you are doing it right.
WWDave: talk to Stacie;
for getting that packet! Now, don't forget it this year!!!!
Judy: must be something about men. When I'm on the TM, I set it and forget it. My DH always plays with the speed and incline. It's a guy thing.
Bree: sorry to hear the little one is sick. It's so sad when they are sick!!
Everyone have a great evening!!!

, and the bike was okay. All of our relatives think Martha and I are insane, and today I wonder if they don't have a point.
. This March all 3 of us are heading to London for a long weekend to see another match, plus we have tickets to the British Museum's exhibit of Terra Cotta warriors from the tomb of the Chinese Emporer Qin, dating from 210 BC.
Maybe Santa should bring a few smaller things and cash to spend Marathon Weekend...
Guess who just found their motivation to keep training after Goofy.
He's going down!
I understand working out after a LR!
to you and
