Hi, everyone!
Let's see -- how much do I remember?
Mel -- I am so sorry you are having so much pain in your foot. I hope you find some relief soon.
MelR -- congrats on the great new job! I see Christa didn't wait to see if you could set up a discount before she bought new bike shorts.
Christa- congrats on the new shorts!
Matt -- man, you are fast and busy!!! You continue to impress the heck out of me. Please give Cheryl a hug for me!
Craig and Martha -- you two are so cute!
I am so glad you had such an amazing run together.
How is Lesley feeling today?
Bill -- so glad to see you here. Did your family enjoy your first Easter together? Has your furbaby gotten used to Timmy being around yet?
Hi, Lynnda! How are you feeling? I hope you are looking forward to being back in the training groove in six weeks or so!
Kristi -- cool story about your niece. I am sure Molly will remember that experience for the rest of her life! Sorry you got lost on the subway. I am sure that is not uncommon!
Jimmduck --
Erin, Kathy, Howard (
), Heather -- we have missed you guys around here!
Steve -- I hope your hard work in the pool makes that endeavor a lot easier. Hopefully, you will see an improvement in your lung capacity. I still can't figure out why I can't breathe better when I run. So, knowing a really fit person like you is finding that kind of thing when swimming makes me feel like it isn't entirely a fitness issue.
Jen and Dave -- I am so sorry you guys are so unhappy at work. I am so blessed to love the people I work with and the work I do. I just can't imagine dragging myself out of bed every day to a job I wasn't happy at.
Carrie -- I hope your PT will find a quick resolution for your foot pain. Sending you
sweetie!
Hi, Sunny! I miss you and hope all is well in your world. Are you taking care of yourself?
Lily -- I am sorry you are going through LTO too! Just think, though, we are almost 20% through the work week!
Krista -- how is the cooking effort going? I was lusting after all those great meals you were posting about last week!
Vic -- Thanks for the ToT clippie. I think it is time for me to add that and the Mickey '08 to my siggie, since I have made the hotel ressies for the first and received the confirmation post card for the latter!
Well, I didn't get any formal training in this weekend in New England. I had done my 7 mile LW mid-week since I'd be away this weekend. On Friday I did a 3 mile and a 2 mile walk -- the first was partly on the beach. Gorgeous though very, very cold. The second was along a canal in Cape Cod and under the Sagamore Bridge. Very pretty with some military vessels moving up and down the canal. Another very brisk 3 mile walk on Saturday and 40 minutes leisurely walk to and from church yesterday. I was actually envious of Howard's time at the gym on Saturday. But, I was busy with visiting and eating way too much food. With the Minnie just less than 4 weeks away, I am trying to figure out what kind of training to squeeze in and how long my LWs should be. I really do fear that my jogging progress is being curtailed as I focus on distance rather than speed. I seem to be able to maintain mid-13:00 miles over the distance and am content to be able to sustain that. I may have to wait until after the Minnie to really work on speed/intervals. I'd hate to risk injury now and have noticed some shin splints and instep pain when I pick up the pace.
sorry to all I missed. Keeping up should count for cross-training, don't you think?

My training is going well. Got in 5 miles on sat for my LR, and today did 4 miles at a slower 14 min pace. My LR this week will be 6.5. Good job everyone for all your hard training!
for the swimmer. I may need to see about getting a psychotherapist to run with me.

Actually, I used to do open water swims back in the day after I stopped swimming competitively---- that's a interesting beast. There no where you can properly train for swims of that distance and simulate race conditions, so you kind of have to do the best you can in the pool and just go.

I'll have to save that race for next year.
