Hello Everyone,
I've been very busy this week so I've just caught up with this thread tonight. I don't feel right posting until I've read all of what you have written.
I was lucky enough to be able to watch the marathon on TV on Monday. That was very inspiring. I really felt badly for the runners running in all that rain. My DS5 was very disappointed we didn't go to watch, but there was no way I was going to stand out in that weather.
Training has been going pretty well. I really feel the need to thank all of you for getting me through some of these runs. When I'm having a rough time I imagine having to tell everyone that I quit one of my runs. Although I'm sure everyone here would be very supportive, I just feel as if I would be disappointing people if I slacked off so I keep on running. Thanks.
My LR was scheduled for Tuesday so I had to decide between running 7 miles on the TM or facing the rain and cold. I decided on the latter. After the first mile it wasn't too bad. My legs felt very stiff, but I managed to finish the run. I ran the 10K course of the race I'm doing the end of April. It was good to see the course before the race. There are a lot of hills. Nothing too steep, but a lot of long gradual hills. Decided to add a hill WO today. That hurt a lot, but hopefully it will help out during the race.
Claire: Good luck with all the new reading material, sounds as if you should be plenty inspired.
Meghan: I hope you found something to help with the side cramps. My sister used to do sit ups before running because she found that helped with side stitches.
TxAng: Congratulations on the race. I hope your post race blues get better.
Kelley: Hope things look brighter soon.
Angie: Good job on your LR. Best wishes to keep up with your training.
Jackie: Congrats on registering for the 1/2. Good job on getting up early to WO after being up so late.
Dave: Fabulous job on your LR. I'm glad you were able to get away for a nice family weekend. You definately earned your free scoop (or 2).
Matt: Congrats on your tri. It must be such a sense of accomplishment.
Sunny: Congrats on your race despite the crummy weather.

I am very impressed by your continued passion for running despite all your pain. Many others would just sit on the couch and say poor me.
Shan: Welcome. Good luck with your training. Remember that hills will make you stronger - if they don't kill you.
Calcio: Congratulations on the teaching position at MIT. It's something to be very proud of - especially since they came looking for you. Welcome to the neighborhood. I work in Kendall Sq so maybe we'll pass by each other while running along the river this Fall.
Jen117: Good luck with the podiatrist and the new assistant.
Carrie: Congrats on getting your speed back.
Krista: Congrats on your 5K time. Your persistance is paying off.
Terri: I'm glad you are able to start biking and swimming. Best wishes for a swift recovery.
MelR: Best wishes for your DH's health.
Leana: Good for you for volunteering at the race. It sounds like fun. Sorry for the snow.

Martha: Best wishes for feeling better soon.
Laurie: Don't be nervous about the race. You've done the training, now is the fun part!
Andrew: Enjoy your road trip. Rest the legs.
Bekkiz: Good going on the 3 mi even though you were feeling badly.
