Wonder how much the wait times will increase at MK for the next couple of months with Splash going down? Could effect the price of Genie +?

Yes, I do think wait times will go up. Capacity will increase again when Tron opens, but it will likely also bring greater traffic so not sure if it hurts or helps.

Wonder when they will be done with Splash?

As of right now, Disney is saying late 2024 for the conversion of Splash to Tiana but as they've shown in the past, they have absolutely no issue delaying ride openings.
Wow, thats a good while.

I think the big difference for a while is that once Tron opens it will attract more people.

Also, wasn't Splash usually back up for spring break crowds?

Right now, nothing. Before the last week Splash Mountain was sitting at 5 minutes for most of the day. Tron will open soon and take up a decent amount of that capacity. I'd expect higher wait times in the park when Tron first opens, but then most rides will go back to fairly normal for a while.

And how cold was it when the wait was 5 minutes?

Nothing terrible. It would be like 75 out and I'd see it at 5 minutes. Obviously when it WAS in the 40's it was also 5 minutes, but even when it hit the high 70's people weren't riding it.
We were there 2 weeks ago and lines were long the entire time.

Ok, I'm not sure what you are arguing. If you look at the historical data starting at the end of August, splash was consistently at a lower wait time compared to other popular rides. Including a large subset of days where the average wait time for the entire day barely passed 30 minutes. I'm not arguing your love for it, I'm indicating that there shouldn't be a huge impact to wait times around the rest of the park.

Tron will probably open with a virtual line so it will not eat up as many guests as it would without one. I waited about 40 minutes after getting called for Guardians; so a line with 40 minutes of wait time worth of guests versus a line, without a virtual queue, of 3+ hours worth of guests.

And Tron will attract more guests in general too.

I agree more guests will be attracted to the park initially which will push up tallies a little bit but then it will be fairly normal. I think Tron runs about 1680 an hour and SM was about 1500-1600. The only thing I don't know is average downtime for Tron. I know SM frequently had downtime, not sure how Tron has been doing in Shanghai with downtime.
