Wishes or Illuminations Cruise

I just read the Illluminations cruise thread for July. I am hoping to book a cruise for the fourth of July (I know, I have a better chance of winning the lottery, but you never know). I was wondering why there is a thread for Illumination but not Wishes. I assumed the MK fireworks would be better on the fourth. Does anyone have any opinions? Also, what do you say when trying to book a cruise? I know it is "specialty cruise", but how do you differentiate between a cruise to see MK fireworks or Illuminations.

The illuminations cruises have been very difficult to obtain over the past few years....My guess is that with WISHES being such a great fireworks show (I've never watched from the water though) that the MK cruise might also be popular...

I guess I'm in the miniority on this one. I took the Illuminations cruise with a few people I met on another board two years ago. I was not impressed at all and thought we had a better vantage point from the countries. The guy that was driving the boat was a hottie so it wasn't all wasted.

It was something different to do, but if you don't get a cruise, I wouldn't be too upset.

When I called to book my Illuminations cruise it was booked so the cm offered me the Wishes cruise so I said okay. Then Poly concierge got us an Illuminations cruise--the next night, lol. So I debated about which one to keep and just decided to keep both. I can let you know how we liked them--we go in June.
When you book just tell them you want the Wishes cruise or Illuminations cruise.

We are looking into getting a cruise as well at either one of those.

What number do we call to make reservations?
