Wishes Fireworks Cruise or Pirates and Pals?

We have a family trip coming up, and we're wanting to do something different this time. We're looking at possibly either a private Wishes fireworks cruise, or the Pirates and Pals cruise. Our party consists of 6 adults, a teenager, and 3 kids (ages 5,4, and 2.) Have any of you ever done either one, or maybe both of the cruises? If so, which would you recommend? The Pirates & Pals would be more expensive, but is it worth the extra money compared to the standard Wishes cruise? Any input would be helpful! Thanks!!!

HAve done both, both are great. If the adults are a fun loving bunch who can get into the pirate mode a bit, I think the P&P cruise would be better. The private cruise might be a bit more elegant, and certainly private (though all the boats are secured in the lagoon in the same general area) but the P&P is a hoot. The kids for sure would like it better. I, as a 68 year old grand dad at the time, really enjoyed it back in 2012.
