Wishes Dessert Party in May

So, can I make these reservations online? When should it open up for reservations? I'm shooting for May 31.

You can make them online. I am not sure if May is open yet but I just made them for April!

We are hoping for May 29. My understanding is you can make them about 60 days out, but I don't know if that's exactly 60 days out or not.

Looking at the Disney dining reservation site it appears that the Dessert party can be booked through July now (the dates are not greyed out). Given the popularity of this event I would try to book as soon as possible before it gets booked up.

Has anyone taken a small child to this? My DH really wants to go, but we have an 18 mo old. I'm a little concernred about how she will handle the fireworks?

I just looked at all of our dates in May and it said that no times were available for the whole trip. However, when I plugged in some April dates, it gave me availability. I don't think May is available to book yet, despite the non-greyed out dates. That's probably just for the 180 day limit; not for specific things like the dessert party.

Unfortunately, unlike with other restaurants/events, the graying out doesn't have much to do with availability for the Dessert Party. This thread shows when the dates have opened up for various months - roughly 2 months ahead of time:
