I recently purchased tickets for the Wishes Dessert Party in November but am wondering how is the view?

For those of you who have been to the Wishes Dessert Party do any trees block the viewing or are there any issues with viewing the castle and the fireworks.

So I guess, basically I am ask it, is it worth is? I am just wondering as the desserts look great but really want to know about any viewing concerns.

Thanks

I would like to know, too. You voiced my concerns perfectly. The orginal blog made it sound awesome. Of course they have raised the price quite a bit and some of my party are not big dessert eaters :confused3 I figured it would be worth it for those of us who are into the desserts and to have a guaranteed good view of the parade and fireworks. BUT, if it is crowded with a bad view - is it worth $100.00??!!??

We attended the dessert party last Thursday and thought the view was great. There were no obstructions. The only issue would be that you are not looking at the castle straight on so instead of the fireworks appearing to be over the castle like in all the famous photos, most are off to the side a bit. Honestly, we saw wishes with the general public earlier in our trip and found it very frustrating with the crowds and people pushing their way up front and walking in front of you and squishing you into a small space, that the relaxed atmosphere of the dessert party was just awesome.

Great, thanks for the feedback. I always find it frustrating to view the parade and fireworks, too!!

We bought the tickets for the dessert party mainly for my in-laws. They have never been to Disney before and hate crowds! We finally talked them into going for Christmas, hopefully during a slower time, but still expect there to be a crowd at parades and fireworks.
When we heard about the party, we thought this was a good solution to the problem. At least they can sit down during the show, and the desserts look fabulous!

Where is the original blog? I'm just trying to find a list of the desserts offered. Thanks!

While having the desserts sitting down is okay. When the fireworks start, everyone goes to the railings to see. (no it is not crowded). I have read where people still try to watch while sitting and the rest are standing and it did not work. You are also NOT allowed to bring chairs up to the railing.

I have a bad back. I was on my feet the whole day. I made sure to get to the party at the beginning and rested. I stood up 5 minutes before the show and during the whole show. I was okay. I did sit back down for a few minutes before we headed out of the park.

I wrote my review of the party and I will re-state what I said there. "I have seen the fireworks from many different areas in the park. Each is different. There are good parts and bad parts for each area. This view was great. Magical." My family really enjoyed it.

The view of the fireworks is better from Main Street, that is where the show was designed to be viewed.

The view from the party is a good view.

We could not see the fireworks from our seats, the ceiling of the restaurant obscured the view, so we had to go to the railing to view the fireworks.

The party was a fun little extra and we would do it again.

If you want the absolute best spot to view Wishes, the party is not the place. The best view can be had in the center of Main Street between Casey's and the Ice Cream Parlor. The fireworks will be centered over the castle and you can view all of the effects as they were meant to be viewed.

We had a great view. We just walked up to the rail when it started, it wasnt crowded or anything. You could sit in your seat and eat if you wanted to, I am sure you would see fine.

For us the price was fine in August, I dont know if I would pay the increase or not to do it again.

An earlier poster mentioned the parade views. My understanding is that those are not good from this location - as it was not desinged with parade viewing in mind (Spectro). So don't count on seeing the parade from your seat or anything other than a glimpse.

We did the Dessert Party in August... It was our last night and planned "Dessert for Dinner". The party it self is great! Great selection of desserts...Lots to drink...I felt the veiw of the parade was just ok...Kind of far away...But the fireworks were beautiful from there...I have lots of really nice photos of the fireworks and the Castle in different colors...I feel it is worth the money...I hope they add this for good...
And the kids loved it too!!!

LOL, we did the same thing, dessert for dinner. We split a puny hotdog at Caseys earlier in the evening, the had plenty of room for desserts. They were awesome, DS11 thought he was in heaven with Mom letting him have dessert for dinner.
