Wishes Dessert party extended, but full?

:scared1: So, on top of paying a premium for the party, they want people to dish out more money for the Dessert Party? Are they crazy????? If smart, they would offer it on NON-PARTY nights as an alternative for people not willing to fork over the insane amount of money for the party. I will keep checking back too. I assume they WILL offer it on non-MVMCP AND MVMCP nights too. Why wouldn't they do that??? It is more money for them. :thumbsup2 However, during MVMCP our kids eat so many cookies, we don't need more sweets. :confused3 So, if it is only offered on MVMCP nights, we won't be booking. :sad2:

I do agree, it is nuts to pay for party tickets and pay for the Fireworks dessert party but this is our Xmas gift to each other so I called DH and he said lets go for it! Dont like the cookies and cocoa they give out for free...kinda gross, I am so looking forward to the party, just hope the weather wont be too cold!

I have to agree. If I was paying $200 for MVMCP, I wouldn't spend more for the dessert party. But for some of us who did the parties before and can't do them again, the non-party nights would be a way to bring in extra money that they aren't getting. I'll keep calling also since I need this for a birthday celebration for my son. He'll love it.

In theory, I know what you guys are saying....but we planned on spending the money for the party....and we wanted to do the dessert buffet. So whether we do both the same night or not isn't really relevant to us. I like the idea of doing both the same night.

I understand what you are saying. I think for us, if we were attending MVMCP, I would just hate to lose the hour or however long you are at the dessert party, from the regular party since it costs so much. It will certainly make it an extra special evening, though.

That's a good point Mary.

I think because we have gone to the party before...and the trip is 10 days long...I am not as crazy as I usually am! I don't feel as time crunched or really even stressed. (Hopefully I can keep this motto)

This is exactly what I'm hoping for. We are going to the Xmas party on the 6TH and we just didn;t want to spend more money on that night. Even more importantly, the time that your at the Dessert Party and missing some other things that you also paid extra for at MVMCP. I'm going to keep trying to see if the change it to non-party nights too. I hope so. Your right, they will make more money that way. All I can do is hope.

Hi, I JUST booked the Dessert Party for the night of November 29th!party: (this is a MVMCP nite) The CM tried to book it for Wednesday the 25th but told me nothing was available?? So possibly ONLY the MVMCP nites are READY to book NOW?? Joan

Just booked,, but it was for a MVMCP night,,

Was told ALL dates had been released but the night i wanted was not available i asked for them to check.. i was just told the Dessert party does not go out on Saturdays or Sundays of which i wanted saturday 28th Nov,,

Ended up booking 19th Nov, a night i already have MVMCP tickets for but hey,, i would be queing to get a good spot for Wishes anyway,, hope we dont miss out on anything from the Christmas party., i will make sure we go to the 1st performance of the amphitheater thingy...

Woo hoo,,

$46 though for 2,, plus the $135 for MVMCP

We wanted to do the Dessert Party too - but this was my first thought too about booking it on a MVMCP night.. what would I be missing?? I'm hoping they'll open it up to other nights, but then too, I'm not sure I want to spend $100 for 4 of us on top of all that food on the dining plan.

Even more importantly, the time that your at the Dessert Party and missing some other things that you also paid extra for at MVMCP.

I think i was just told a lie,, no dessert partys on Sat & Sun nights i was told so had to book for a MVMCP night i really did not want to book

I just booked for November 19th. This is a MVMCP date, but that's the party we plan on attending.

WOO HOO,, big party night,, just hope we dont miss much of the MVMCP as this will be our 1st night at any event,,

I was told to arrive at 8.30pm,, is this right?

God,, hot choc, cookies then cakes, lol,, lucky we dont have a meal booked that night,, just Tonys rest. at lunch..

i just got off the phone with a CM and was told it was extended to Jan, but there were not openings for the week of Thanksgiving. Then I come here and read it was only open so far for MVMCP (that is the night we arrive). Hope they open the rest of the week soon. I will be calling every day now.

We booked for November 17 for our party night this morning. I am looking forward to it. The way I look at it we aren't wasting time by being at the dessert party. We would be standing in the same spot waiting for the fireworks and not doing anything else anyway so why not do this. :santa:

I called last night and got a CM who insisted it was only thru Oct 31 - and so did her supervisor.

Called back today and was told "they just extended it until Jan 31 this afternoon". But the CM at first got an error on booking, then said it was only for MVMCP nights. I wanted to book it another night. Hopefully they will extend it. I too will call every day.

You can always take $25 a person and go to the Main street bakery and the candy shop and LOAD UP! Then sit near the Terrace and watch the fireworks while you try to eat all the sugary goodies!

You could get (suggested):

Cinnamon Roll
Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich
Latte or Smoothie
Cheesecake
Fruit tart
Fudge
Cookie

EACH!
