Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread #3-book @ 180 Days Now!

We had to make it for 3 when my mother and I went this past February, and we did the same thing, booked the 3rd as an infant. We just waited until we got there and told them the baby wasn't coming. I too was afraid they would cancel it. There was no problem with it when we told them.

Lol great minds must think alike ;)

So I don't know why, but I was told no spaces available for a party of two on 10/8, but I changed it to three and it let me book. I just put the 3rd person as an infant so I was still only charged as 2. If I call to cancel the fictitious infant 3rd guest will they try to can't my reservation? Or if I just leave it will I be ok? Anyways just super happy I got my preferred date!

Thanks for this -- For the past two days I've been trying for a party of two on 9/25, only to be told there wasn't anything available. I just tried the party of three, and I got an 8:00 reservation. This is one of my son's favorite things to do at WDW.

I'll have the kleenex ready! First timer for the dessert party. By the way, I have cried in DW. It really is magical!

I cry every trip -- as soon as I walk into the MK. Heck, I cry when I see the first CM waving the Mickey hand at the Magical Express at the airport. :)

I was actually doing both. I would try online at 6am then call at 7 just in case there was an issue booking online, and the call center was able to book through their system.

Ah, just covering all bases then! Thanks for answering!

Yeah I have never had this issue since they changed to the new dining booking system, I had it all the time under the old one getting a ressie for 2 at most restaurants. I guess that bug is still there for the party. Oh well, now we know to use that old work around ;)

we are doing this for the first time. we have an 8:15 reservation, and I think fireworks are at 9pm. Is that enough time to really enjoy the desserts? Can we stay after? So excited!

For the whole 2 weeks we are there, the only date for 2 is the first full day of our holiday. Jetlag at the party isn't a nice thought, but I booked it anyway because it is on my WDW bucket list.

I have just tried the 3 people booking for my preferred date, and there we have it! 2 time slots available! :dance3:

That is plenty of time! We've always had the 9:00 ressie for 10:00 Wishes and we found there was a lag between enjoying the desserts and Wishes, so you should be perfect on the timing. You are usually able to stay a little after, but they do begin clearing things up once Wishes is over. We will sometimes just grab a few choc strawberries for the road (which end up lasting a whole 5 min!) :) :)

Now what? :confused3

There are 80 days :sad2: until my 60 days to make FP+ selections.

That's how I felt after we made our ADRs in Jan and still had another 120 days until our FP booking! It's so hard to not have something to 'plan!' We now only have 29 more days until our FP day but it feels like forever! Especially when there are rumors of changes to the system so we can't really plan yet.

We never made reservations for this @ 180 days. Our trip is in 55 days. What are the chances of getting seats at this late day?

Keep trying and checking here for a cancellation or check on the dining boards there should be a thread for June cancellations. If you are lucky someone who is cancelling during your stay well coordinate with you.

I booked for Sept 25th last night, pretty excited!:cool1:

The only thing was they didn't have a table to 5, or a table for 2, so I had to book 2 tables for 3... our 5 and we had to bring along an infant :rolleyes1 Hopefully it's not too crazy busy so we can bring chairs to one table to sit together.

Our reservation is for 8:05/8:10. What time are you allowed to go in?

You probably won't be able to bring chairs to one table because the tables are TINY. However, if both parties are booked in your name and were booked at the same time there's a good chance they'll be right beside each other, and then maybe you could push the tables together!

Our trip to WDW for this June was only thought of Feburary so I was doubtful we would be able to get reservations but since this is dd9's first trip to WDW, I REALLY wanted to do the Wishes Dessert Party. I have been checking at least once a day for a month for all nights during our and last week it happened! We scored a 9:15 reservation for the two of us on the same day we already planned to do MK so we shouldn't have to buy hoppers either! Don't give up, keep checking and you never know what will pop up at the last minute!

Don't give up! How many are in your party? I think part of my luck was because it will just be me and dd for this event. DH is disabled and suffers from an inner ear condition that prevents him from enjoying load noises like fireworks and my sister and bil plan to leave the parks around 6 everynight because that is my one year old nephew's normal bed time.
