Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread #3-book @ 180 Days Now!

I spoke with two cast members this morning to get reservations for Oct 8th. One wouldn't even check because she said Sept hadn't gone in yet. The other checked and then had problems and couldn't add me. I got off the phone and booked it online minutes after that.

Ahhh, the mis-information from CMs continues! :sad2:

I know! This is the first morning in 36 days that I haven't had to set my alarm for 5:30 am. :)
Now what to obsess about with my trip....looks like BOG lunch FP are next on the agenda

LOL I was ticking off the "hurdles" that I've already jumped in the planning process of this trip. For me it started back in Oct with getting the Chase Sapphire card and putting enough $ on it to get the promo points. Then doing the same in Jan with the Southwest Visa. Then waiting for the points to post to my SW Rapid Rewards card before the points "devalued" on March 31st! Then booking flights using the points- only had the Sapphire points at first, so had to book the flight down first and wait for the SW Visa points to post and then book our return flights and hoping these flights (our preferred time) didn't get sold out before I could do that! All that was :scared1:

Then getting the "regular" ADRs for our trip on March 10th- That went pretty smoothly UNTIL the TTDP.... you know the story with that....

Now, for us it's securing FD
Followed by our FP+ ressies
Followed by BOG lunch FP

I think I will pass the time today by making DH/DS's Golf Tee Time and DD and my Ft Wilderness Trail Ride ressie....... At least, this far out, THOSE should be easy....... I hope!!!!

Planning a WDW vacation is like having a part time job!!:hyper:

Thankful for this thread. Yesterday was the only day that I couldn't check or get online from work, so was so excited this morning to see others were successful. I was able to make a reservation for when I wanted. Had to move dinner times around but it is all set now. Thanks for posting!

I don't know if this is the right place to ask it, but what airline does Chase Sapphire get you points on? We have used SW promotions for the last several trips but I may need a different card to get miles for the next trip, probably 2016.

I learned this tip here on the DIS....

Chase Sapphire Preferred card points will transfer over to the Southwest Rapid Rewards card. I had neither the Sapphire nor the SW Visa, so I waited til they offered the highest point promo (40K for Sapphire, 50k for SW Visa) and signed up for each (one in Oct, the other in Jan). Between the promos and my purchases, I ended up with over 100k points and so was able to book all flights (from PHL to MCO and back) for FREE!!! (well, there are some small fees and Early Bird check in that I had to pay for, but the total was so tiny I don't even remember it)

Disboards ROCK!!!

Awesome! We will do this for our next trip! Thanks!

Just a reminder that Chase Sapphire Preferred has an annual fee of $99. I personally think it is worth it if you know how to work the system. I use the Sapphire Preferred card with my chase freedom card (no annual fee) together. The points could be combined. Since this thread is not about CC, I'm not going to go into details but you can actually fly on AA, US Airways or other flights that are not included in one of the transferable airlines.

This and air fare. Still need to book mine.

Grateful for this thread.

Managed to get a booking online for the party! :cool1:

The only date during the 2 weeks we are there that was available to book is on the first full day we are there, but it is something thank I really want to do so I booked it. Will have to get a nap in beforehand! :rotfl:

Yeah! Thanks to this post I was able to book for 9/24!!! Question, it gave me 7 or 7:15 for options (Wishes is at 8pm that night). I chose 7 because I read the earlier reservations have the better tables? Is this correct? Just want to make sure I do everything right before lots of people book :)

Just an FYI, theres an opening right now for 4/25 for wishes for anyone interested!!! Someone get it!!!!:thumbsup2

I read somewhere on these boards that the earlier you book it is how they assign the seating. I also read it doesn't really matter though because when the fireworks start everyone gets up and goes to the rails. I could be wrong I have never gone before.

So excited I was able to get a reservation for 9/25, it's going to be a surprise for my DD since it's her 9th birthday.

So I don't know why, but I was told no spaces available for a party of two on 10/8, but I changed it to three and it let me book. I just put the 3rd person as an infant so I was still only charged as 2. If I call to cancel the fictitious infant 3rd guest will they try to can't my reservation? Or if I just leave it will I be ok? Anyways just super happy I got my preferred date!

We had to make it for 3 when my mother and I went this past February, and we did the same thing, booked the 3rd as an infant. We just waited until we got there and told them the baby wasn't coming. I too was afraid they would cancel it. There was no problem with it when we told them.
