The opening of September 2014 dates was (I believe) the first time they didn't follow the 180 day rule since switching to it last October. I believe it is back to the 180 day schedule now.

Hi! I am planning a surprise trip to WDW from December 1-5th for my family (DH, DS13) and would LOVE to book the Wishes Dessert Party for some time that week. Does anyone know if they still have this on a MVMCP night? If they do, will the CMs usher us out if we don't have a Christmas Party wristband on?

Also, would you recommend booking online or via phone for a party of 3?

In the past there has been a dessert party on MVMCP nights. If you do not have a ticket for the Christmas Party, you will not be able to attend the Dessert Party.

I don't know about MVMCP, but it is not available for MNSSHP. The days of the party are greyed out. I would imagine they could possible do the same for MVMCP. Check in a couple of weeks if they are greying out days in Nov. when the MVMCP is supposed to take place. Then you will have your answer before you get to your 180 days.

Does Wishes start at 9:00 pm in early-mid November? Last year 6 of us were at one table...I need to make reservations for 8 this year, is that a selection online?


Trying to get tickets again this year. I can make my all my reservations in two weeks...getting excited and anxious. It was crazy trying to get tickets for the Dessert Party last May but it was worth all the aggravation.

If the date is blue it is bookable, if it is grey it isn't. Some people have had a hard time booking parties of 2. You could also call 407-WDW-DINE

Great thank you! I booked by phone last year, when you do it online does it automatically take your credit card you have on file? Is it a fast process online that won't hold me up from making my next popular ressie?

I booked online and it automatically took the card on file.

Yes it does automatically take your credit card on file. It doesn't take longer than any other reservation. The all have a credit card guarantee but this one will charge your card when you book.

If you're still looking don't give up hope! I just got a reservation for May 2nd today after looking for one for months!

Awesome ! I have been checking for May 28th for a month about 3 times a day. Should I check more then 3 times a day maybe ? We have never been and was hoping this would be a new surprise for us to do this trip but I'm getting discouraged now

Yes I called to check for a reservations and he said none available but keep checking closer to your trip because if anyone cancels it has to be 5 days before.

I was just able to book an ADR for dessert party in August. I missed this at my 180 day mark and was checking daily for the last couple of weeks. The only issue was, I only wanted 2 people and the ADR would only come up for 3 or 4 people. So, I booked the 3 and then had to call and then refunded one of them, so I'm all set!

So, if you're looking for just 2, it may be worth checking under 3 or 4, just in case.

Bummer, I missed out on reservations again today. I was hoping to get October 22, 2014. I guess I have to check earlier than 5:00 AM PST. I have one more chance for October 24, 2014.

What time do reservation open? Maybe 6:00 AM EST?
