I can only cancel this one over the phone since it is not showing up on MDE, but would be happy to coordinate with anyone who may want it.

I also posted this in the Feb cancellations thread, but wanted to make sure people subscribing here saw it, too.

Tried to book the Dessert Party for July 3rd and even though it is within my 180+10 days it isn't open yet. The CM I talked to had no idea why that was the case. I don't know if I should call again and get a different CM and see if they know why. Do any of you know why? Does it not get the +10 days for some reason? Thanks.

I'm in the same boat; I tried July 3rd, but it it still isn't open as of this morning. I was able to book July 1st for backup. I guess we're back to stalking these threads to find out when July 3/4 opens - maybe right on the 180 day mark?

The party was great! My favorite part was the massive chocolate covered strawberries! Also, I've never been able to see Tink so close. That was excellent!

They are our favorite too!! So yummy!!!! Even in July when they're melting all over you, haha! We learned after our second party to start bringing hand wipes with us

I have subscribed here hoping for a cancellation so I could get a ressie for our trip March2-6. I call every couple of days hoping for a cancellation, but today CM tells me no dessert party the week we are there and only 2 times a week for several weeks after that. First time I heard this after calling for weeks. She could not tell me why. Anyone know anything about this?

Has anyone else scheduled the party for Sat, Jan 19? Wishes has changed from 9 pm to 10 pm, but my reservation still shows 8 pm in MDE. I spoke with a CM in dining who said if I don't get a call about a change of time that we still need to show up at 8. I'm not so sure I still want to go if I need to be there from 8 to 10. Has anyone else gotten a call about this change? Or if it has happened for another date to someone, how close to the date did you get a call? This leaves me 13 days now to decide if i want to cancel before being charged regardless. Rather late to make a change of plans if you ask me. Any experience with this would be appreciated.

I would bet you're supposed to be there at 9. I wpuld try to contact another CM to make sure. Thank you so much for your reply! We are really looking forward to it, so I guess I just need to be patient and wait for the call. (And build in an afternoon nap so we can do MK late that night...since it is opened until 3 am!)

I'd try calling back and getting another CM.....our party was on the day of Christmas Parade Taping (Dec 7) and the time was changed....we got the call a couple weeks ahead of time.

That said, however, you can also just show up when you want, you are under no obligation to be there at a certain time. The table next to us was empty until literally about 5 minutes before the fireworks....then a family of 4 sat down, went up to the buffet and came back with about a dozen plates between them and sat eating while the fireworks were going. To each his own, lol. But seriously, even if they say that your reservation is still at 8pm.....if you don't want to go until 9pm, then go at 9pm. They don't resell your table, so it's yours whether you use it the whole night or show up to eat 5 minutes before the fireworks!

You form a line and they open, ask your name and seat you......our reservation was 9:20 and we arrived and got in line a little before 9 and were 4th or so in line and went straight in.

I believe that the staggered times are just so the line doesn't get crazy. Next time we'll probably wait until more like 9:30 to arrive......the initial "crowd" makes the food line a bit long......but after everyone got their first round the lines were very manageable.

But...it was our first time and we didn't want to miss a minute, lol. But, honestly twice through the line and we were pretty dessert-ed out. Yummy stuff, but almost toooo much sweet. We were saying that an appetizer/dessert would be nice, lol.

Great advice on the timing. I never thought of just showing up later when we wanted. Since we are the first seating group at 8 pm and I called within 30 minutes of the date being opened to get that time, I am hopeful that we got a front row seat. Coming later than our reservation time won't have us placed at a different table?

Nope! They have name tags on the tables before anyone arrives, so your table is pre-assigned and won't be changed if you come late. I always wondered if someone complained if a CM would change their table with someone who hadn't arrived yet, but I've never seen it happen.

I'd check throughout the day today, and tomorrow as well... i've heard there's a day lapse at times. Hope this helps

I could be wrong here, but if I remember right, New Years Eve was opened up later. Maybe it's something they do around the holidays? I dunno, but keep trying!
