Wishes at 6:00?

On the Disney site it states that the Magic Kingdom will close on Friday, September 30, at 6:00 due to the Halloween party. It says that Wishes will be at 6:00. Does anyone know if this is correct? Will it be dark at 6:00? We are planning on being there that day but are not staying for the party, rather we are going to Chef Mickey's for dinner. I am wondering if I need to change the time for our reservation (currently at 6:20) so we can stay and watch the show. Any input would be helpful! Thanks!

While in the winter it is dark at 6:00, I dont think so in September, though it won't be far from dark. They may move it back. Generally with dates so far out they do change things within them frequently.

Then again, on July 4, the MK was NOT dark when the fireworks show started. You could still see a good bit of sunset in the Splash Mountain direction.

HOWEVER, the more the it gets towards winter, the sky behind the castle gets dark earlier as the sunsets closer to behind the train station as opposed to the Splash Mountain area causing a darker backdrop behind the castle. Yes, the sunset changes location in the sky in the winter as opposed to summer.

Sunset is at 7:13 that day. If they did have the show, it would be pretty strange indeed

In that case, expect a change. This happens often when schedules first come out.

I thought this was weird too since it is a MNSSHP night and they would have their own fireworks....

When I made my AR for that day at CRT, the CM also mentioned the fireworks and I might want to get there extra early to avoid the crowds...I mentioned that it was weird they would have two fireworks shows like that and she said, "that's what the schedule says". I just said, "OK" and changed the subject. I'm sure that they will change the schedule.
