Pat - do you have an AP? If so, maybe you could cheer from a bench or something inside Epcot? I thought you said something about having an AP when we were at DL? Or maybe it was about how you weren't getting an AP this year...

Just an idea - I'd like being scream-teamed at! :rotfl:
My personal scream team will be doing the half, so I am outta luck there. But then again, they both will be finishing before me.

:guilty: no AP for me this year....at least I don't think so. I'll be back in May for the Minnie, but I have lots of individual days left on old passes that I should probably use up. I am really torn about this because I'd really like to cheer, I know how much it's helped me in the past - but this trip is also doubling as an early graduation gift for my DD21, and I'll be taking up all of Sunday with the full. Ideally I could get up early on Saturday and cheer for the half and then meet DD. But I seem to remember from reports last year that transportation was pretty bad. I'll probably wait til the meet at POR to decide for sure.

Anyone want to post their ADRs? In case we end up at the same place around the same time? Charlie and I are having dinner at Le Cellier Saturday at 5:40. (I changed our plans from Citricos.)

:teeth:

John(DH), Sean(DS20) & I will be at POR on Friday.

We are planning on being at the "W" Tent after the 1/2.

Planning on being part of the WISH Scream Team on Sunday for the Full. Not sure if we will make it over to the finish to be at the "W" Tent.

John & I will be at the Illuminations Dessert Party. (Sean will be flying home sometime on Sunday)

John & I will be at the Boardwalk Breakfast on Monday.

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Kevin (DH) and I will be at POR on Friday, at the W tent on Saturday, at the W tent on Sunday, at the Illuminations Dessert Party on Sunday, and at the breakfast on Monday. DH is going Goofy this year. I will be cheering him on in the 1/2. We are doing the full together.

Howard and I will be at POR on Friday.

I'll be at the WISH tent after the 1/2 on Saturday, though I'll try to save my legs for Sunday. DH should be finishing the 1/2 around 2:00 and then we'll stick around for a while and I hope to get him "home" so we can both rest up for the FULL.

I hope to see some WISHers at the W tent on Sunday, though I'm not sure who will be around at 1 or 1:30 pm.

We'll both be at the Illuminations Dessert party Sunday night (assuming I can still walk by then!)

And, we'll both be at Boardwalk Bakery Monday a.m. -- we'll probably go back for a nap afterwards, but will be sure to drag ourselves out for breakfast. :woohoo:

Come on Cam, even I'll be done by 2:00pm! :rotfl:

Judy - I think she means 2 hours... :rolleyes1

We have ADR's for Ohana's after the 1/2 on Saturday, I think at 6:00. I think Mel (Chimera) will be there at the or around the same time. If any other 1/2ers want to join us, please do.

Slightly off topic, but something to keep in mind when making your plans.....

at MGM the Osbourne Spectacle of Lights will still be lit through 1/7/07. And RnR coaster will close for rehab on 1/7/07.

My ADR plans - HDDR on Thursday 1/4 at 7:15, Grand FL Cafe at 5:30 on Sunday 1/7, and Primetime Cafe for lunch on Tuesday 1/9.

I just hope I am in good enough shape to keep up with DD21. She hasn't been to WDW since 2001 and she is really anxious to see everything.

:cool1: I know we'll be at MGM for the lights before Illuminations.
Wasn't [planning a park day on Saturday, but I may have to re-think that now! ;)

DW and I will plan to come to the breakfast at Boardwalk Bakery on Monday.

You know, planning a WDW vacation is complex enough, but now when you have to fit in the Expo, the Half and cheering on the Full and only have about three days..well, I'm completely stuck! SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!

We will - eventually - be at the Half "W", but since we fly out at 5:00pm on Sunday we will probably have to catch ME about 3:00pm, so I've made ADRs at Cape May Breakfast for 7:30am on Sunday so we can eat and get out there around Mile 24 or so to cheer you guys on. Is this a good idea or not? :confused3 Please somenody who has done this tell me if this is a good spot.

Then I think we will have to eat somewhere over there - like Beaches & Cream, for lunch, then go back to POR and catch the ME bus.

Geez, this is complicated. :goodvibes

ETA: Or.......would it be better to go to the Poly and have breakfast at Kona, then go out and cheer you guys on?

Holy cow, why can't I figure this out?? I am like a Master Disney Planner!

Cam, Howard, the fam and I cheered from Beach Club last year. I think it's a great spot to catch everyone near the end of the full when energy may be flagging. I think seeing someone you know at that point is helpful, but you can check with the folks that ran by us there to be sure. I'm planning to be there again!

Mel - The more I thought about it, the better it sounded. So I think that's the plan. Thanks for your advice. I feel badly not being at the finish line. I wish we could change our flight but we can't without being charged a huge penalty now.

Judy -- Not sure what to suggest. Howard, Mel & I were out at mile 24 in front of Beach Club last year. Howard and I got there about 9:45 and IIRC we stayed still after 12:30 (I think nearly everyone was finished by then). It felt really good to be at that point, but I am thinking mile 20 or so would be an even more critical place for scream team members. I have often heard that the half-way point of a marathon isn't mile 13.1, but mile 20, that the last 6.2 are harder than the first 20.

All that being said, both Beaches & Cream and Kona are absolutely wonderful, and you and Charlie should definitely make the most of your few days at WDW. So, the decision should be first, where do you want to eat. Then, figure out a time that will work based on whether and where you want to cheer on the full marathoners.

Whatever you decide to do will be so much fun!

I think we will do Cape May for breakfast, scream like banshees for you guys, then have lunch at Beaches and Cream. Then we'll have to get going.

I've made ADRs for Kona on Thursday before we go to the Expo. So Charlie can have his Tonga Toast. I swear, sometimes I think that's the only reason he goes to WDW! :teeth:

That sounds awesome! Okay, you'll think I am nuts -- I thought the Tonga Toast was wayyyy too sweet, and even though I am a HUGE coffee lover, I was not thrilled with the Kona coffee.

Oh, Cape May Buffet is one of our favorites -- I just LOVE the characters in their beach wear. :teeth: Oh, and Mickey waffles?
At Beaches & Cream -- the onion rings are to die for! And their burgers are awesome! Oh, and you MUST have a malt!

Okay, I'll stop now!

I will be looking for you at mile 24 (if I can still see by then!) Are you sure you'll still be there by the time slowpoke me gets there between 12:30 and 1? I am just hoping I can keep up with Rhonda!

Oh Cam - You're KILLING ME! I'm having my 3:00 Snack Attack and you start talking about onion rings! Ohhh! :yay:

I don't get the Tonga Toast but usually steal a bite or two of Charlie's. Its too sweet for me too! On our last day at WDW in September we had sundaes at B&C. It was the first time we had been there and I thought it was so cute! I'm dying to have lunch there!

Yes I will absolutely be there for you! I mean, really, what kind of a friend would I be if I didn't stay to cheer on my Cam??? :goodvibes

Thanks, Judy! Now, I'll HAVE to make it that far. Wouldn't want to keep you guys waiting for no reason.

Oh, BTW, there is a snackbar kind of place at Beach Club now where you can get counter service food, etc. (it's in the souvenir store at the left end) and they do an awesome fruit & yogurt parfait (made to order -- you tell them what fruits, whether you want granola, etc.). It is awesome. But it is also a good place to get a drink to keep your throat hydrated for all the screaming you'll be doing! :rotfl:

Oh geez, I think I need a snack!

Yes, actually we had our last breakfast there this past trip. DEE-lish egg and cheese sandwishes!

OK, I can't go on with this thread without a SNACK! :teeth:

ETA: HA HA HA! I typed sandWISHES and I'm leaving it! :rotfl2:
