Well thwack me too cuz I've got the same question.

I'd be in for something probably 2 of the hats, but I thought it was either style originally. Did it change since it is customized? Really hoping for the lime green here. We'd really be easily spotted from afar for sure!

Color- checking on that w/ headsweats. Sent Chip the quote guy an email this afternoon requesting either lime green or the safety yellow that matches the shirts. They do have a yellow that is a stock color and a darker green so we'll see what he comes up with.

Style- was actually kind of hoping to be able to do both. We may(hopefully will) exceed the 50 for hats and just barely get the 36 for visors though so I need to check if the 36 minimum is for each style or just an in general minimum for custom orders.

I love my running hat I have now--picked it up at a running store. It is NIke..the only way to describe it--very bright neon yellow with holes all in it.

If this is the style hat you were speaking of, I would be interested. (ETA: the regular hat...not the visor is what I am interested in).

Do you have a picture? And cost? (you probably posted that elsewhere).

On the main weekly thread, it was suggested that in addition to our shirts that hats may help us stand out.

I personally always run in a hat and did Goofy this year wearing my Ironman Wisconsin finisher's hat made by Headsweats. Three triathlons that I did last year provided Headsweats hats- FL 70.3 at WDW, Timberman 70.3 in NH, and IM WI. It was funny because I had been looking at the hats in the merchandise section at FL 70.3 but had held off buying and lo and behold I was handed one at the finish line along w/ the finsher's shirt, the medal, and a backpack type baggie.

Since I have personal experience w/ that particular brand, I went to their website www.headsweats.com and discovered that they do have a custom program w/ a minimum order of 36 hats. The design can be either heat screened or embroidered(all the ones I own) and we could get quotes on a couple different styles if there is interest.

First off, this was Pat's idea over on the main thread and she deserves all credit for mentioning it. I only thought about it when deciding what to wear for the weekend when I 'had' to wear my IM Moo hat. One thing to keep in mind though is that hats are visible no matter what the weather forces us to put on for layers so...

In summary, it looks like about $17 a piece for visors and $18 for hats

I have not forwarded the graphic of the actual logo yet as I'm waiting to get it myself and there may be some differences related to the actual numbers as I just ballparked it at 50/style. Even if we don't get that many now, I'd probably still get them to be able to distribute to new WISHers that join through the year. So now that we have some numbers for cost, what's the input of the WISH team?
