Everyone in my family is asleep so I am hoping for some reassruring words.

I booked three CAT 11 cabins for my cruise through Costco about six months ago. According to the documents they sent me it says final payment was due on the 18th. It also says on the bottom of the same form that final payment is due 75 days before the cruise. Of course, I only noticed the 75 days. I was getting everything out tonight in order to pay (what I thought was early) tomorrow morning. I am very worried (that is a BIG understatement). I just checked the Disney website and Travelocity and they no longer have any Cat 11 rooms available.

Costco doesn't open until 7 am PST. I am not sure if I can wait that long to see if I made a several thousand dollar mistake.
 
What time are they open until? Did you try to call them tonight?
 
I sure did. They closed at 5:30.

I feel a bit better, in that there are Cat 11 cabins available late January for a good price. It would be a scramble but we could probably go early with a small airline fee for changing our reservations. At least I have a back up plan in case my conversation with COSTCO doesn't go well.
 

Disney doesn't require final payment until 60 days out. The TA's ask for it early to build in time for problems such as your CC not going through and such. I'm sure Costco can still put it through since Disney will still except it (and it would actually be early!):D

Sounds like you had the same problems I did - only mine was with my TA not making my final payment in time.

Here's what I'd recommend - call DCL immediately and have them note your phone call on the records.

Disney says final payment is due 60 days out....why does COSTCO need it 75 days out? Maybe it is because they need time to process the payment and get it to DCL by the 60 days. But everything I researched in my panic attack for the past week indicates that DCL won't cancel a ressie before 60 days.

So - sending some pixie dust to you - but everything should work out okay if you call them today.

Let us know how you make out.

This whole experience makes me think twice about working with a TA next time.
 
BuzzBoyMom is exactly right.....the TA's need the extra time to process it through DCL. That is the way it was explained to me when we booked through AAA, and we had also looked at Costco. I am sure everything will be fine, and you and your family will be sailing the seas and having a wonderful, magical time.

I called first thing this morning and paid without any problem. I didn't mention the missed deadline and either did they. I am so relieved. I didn't sleep much last night. Hopefully I can talk by DD into taking a nap.

Glad it worked out for you,,,, but wouldn't you have thought the TA would have sent you a message that the final payment was due???? DU did.

I have missed final pay date once and I since I have found out that cruise lines are very reluctant to just cancel a booking if at least a deposit was made. I am sure if you were really, really late they might ask what was up, but the cruise lines want and have your booking, they are not going to let you go so quickly!!!!
