Thanks for the welcome, Katholyn! Yes, the bloat fairy has been here, yikes! After day 1, I FEEL better already, and feel back on track. I "lost" 1 lb alredy too, but I think that was just the excess water. (Was a nice little bonus, though!).

I wish I had found this board earlier!

Samantha
Day 2, and feeling better already!

TigH Another pound gone forever! Woo Hoo!! Way to go, Karen, what a great feeling. Not only that but you have lost more inches. You are just doing great, I’m so happy and proud for you.

You are only 4 pounds from goal, now? WOW! You are going to make that goal easily, if you keep this up. What a motivation you are for us all and what a wonderful example.

DisneyKel322 You aren’t required to post to the check in thread but it is so much fun when you do, it’s fun for me, anyway :)

Especially when I get to read about how great you did last week. Woo Hoo!! 3 pounds gone forever, that’s 12 sticks of butter (3 tubs Canadian) or 60 slices of bacon. That is progress, my friend. You are doing great!

Don’t you just feel proud of yourself? We are all proud and happy for you. Way to go!

yasuern You lost .5 pounds? And you aren’t jumping for joy over this accomplishment? The bloat fairy has been to your house and you still lost ½ pound? I think I would be feeling pretty excited about that. When all that fluid goes away you will be seeing a larger loss, that is cause for celebration.

You just like to see me bounce around, don’t you? Okay, I’m all rested up now, I think I can do it :)

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Whew! That was a workout. Good job losing ½ pound last week, that would be a loss of 26 pounds in a year, you know. That is progress, that is success. Be proud of yourself. I’m proud of you.

Bebr That is much better. That new clippie is gorgeous and really brings out the color of your eyes :)

jimmytammy Way to go! That’s the way to celebrate success, sweetie :teeth: Look at you go.

Another pound gone forever, what a great feeling, huh? You have a new clippie (it’s very pretty, too) and you have lost almost 35 pounds altogether. You are really good at this weight loss stuff. I’m really happy and proud for you so I hope you are standing tall and feeling proud of yourself.

momto4obkids Look at that shiny and gorgeous new clippie of yours. It’s just so pretty and what a gorgeous symbol of your success :)

Another 1.5 pounds gone forever, never to be seen again. I’ll bet that makes you feel proud. We’re all proud of you. Keep it up, sweetie, you are headed straight for goal!

MontyMontyMOnty You found us, now, that’s all that is important. Even more important is that we found you because you are a great addition to our support group. It’s true! Look how much you have motivated me already. You’ve lost a pound, who cares if it’s water you still lost a pound. That’s motivating, isn’t it? I can’t wait to see how you do at the end of your first week of induction, Samantha. I’ll bet you do great.

The bloat fairy is very, very cruel, though, I know from personal experience :( I’ve been searching for a bloat fairy repellent. I’ll send you a pm if I discover one ;)

Katholyn

YIKES!! I missed ahutton :( I knew that was going to happen one of these days. I'm sorry, honey.

I hate that bloat fairy always visiting at the worst time :(

Cheer up, sweetie. I'm positive that the weight showing up on the scale is water retention. It has to be, you didn't waiver from your eating plan. If it is the medication, I would ask my doctor if there is another medication that wouldn't have the side effect of weight gain.

May I ask what medication you are taking? You don't have to post it here, just send me a pm.

Hang in there, sweetie. You can do this. It may take you a little longer than you hoped but stay focused and determined and you will lose the weight.

I'm so sorry that I skipped you, I didn't do it intentionally. {{{HUGS}}}

Katholyn...I just love reading your response to everyones posts here. YOU are awesome!

My challenge has been finding where you've been reporting your weight loss.;)

I think I started 3 weeks ago. I'm down 8 pounds, DH has lost 16. We're kind of a "2 for 1" special.:p

OK... my weigh in was yesterday... and I lost .8 pounds :)

Every little bit counts, right!

So that means I'm down 6.8 overall, and .8 since I've joined WISH. :)

dvcreg Look at you! You are doing so well! You’ve lost 8 pounds, what an accomplishment. But where is your new clippie? You have earned the 5 pound loss clipart already. I would have added that to my signature so fast!

Here is the url, if you want to add it. http://www.disboards.com/wish/5wish.gif

I’m glad to hear that Gary is doing so well on Atkins and that your new “eating sensibly” plan is working well for you, too.

Way to go, Reg, you are on the way to goal!

jenny2 What a great attitude you have! Absolutely! Every loss counts because every loss is a sign of success.

You now have .8 pounds less to lose. You are .8 pounds closer to your final goal. You should be feeling proud of yourself. That is the equivalent of more than 3 sticks of butter or 16 slices of bacon. That’s progress! That is success!

You keep that sunshiny and bright attitude of yours and you will be adding that goal clipart to your signature before you know it. I’m just so proud that you have such a positive attitude about this new healthy lifestyle of yours. I’m proud of you for celebrating your success too :)

Katholyn

Well, I weighed in the morning and only lost .4. But it's still better than a gain. I have the feeling the cinnamon sugar bagel w/honey almond cream cheese, plus the 2 pecan sandies I ate yesterday did me in! Unfortuately, I will be tested harder today. SIL is graduating with her master's and is having a party at her house. Cake, rotel, chips and dip. Good thing I don't weigh for another week!!

I have been slacking off on my water too and that always makes a HUGE difference for me. So I just need to get back on track.

I keep forgetting to post my own progress. I just get so excited about how well everyone else is doing and I forget to do it. What a silly person I am.

I lost 3 pounds last week. I was thrilled because I got to trade up the clipart. Now I'm only 10 pounds away from one of those pretty gold ones :) I'd love to earn a gold clippie before my WDW trip in August but I'm not going to set my heart on it. I'm just going to keep on keeping on and if I earn it great and if I don't earn it I don't think I will be upset or anything.

I plan to eat this way the rest of my life no sense getting in a hurry about reaching goal, I'll get there. Right? Can I get an "Amen"?

I still have another secret. I might make a separate post for that one, what do you think?

Onward and downward, my WISH friends. Thank you for being part of the magic of WISH :)

You know, Kath, I was WONDERING where your update was! Thanks for remembering! :) You are the best!!!!

Congrats on that loss!!!! I know a super new sparkly clippie is in your future. You are a GREAT inspiration! You keep going and going losing inches and pounds, woo-hoo!!! :)

WOO-HOO!!! That is some loss, Katholyn! You are on your weigh to that pretty gold clippie!

I love your attitude regarding goals. My next goal is onederland by the end of June. That's another 8.5 pounds. It is reasonable and my fingers are crossed (hard to eat when you are doing that!) that I can make that.

my WDW trip in August
When are you going in August? Where are you staying? Is there a meet on the plan?

I still have another secret.
I know! You're pregnant!

Can I get an "Amen"?

AMEN!!!

God Bless!

Katholyn!!!
I LOVE the way you look in your 20 pound clippie. Added to the work you did before the challenge... wow, HUGE loss!!! :earseek:

:teeth:

It's nice to be able to celebrate for you, our sweet little WISH cheerleader and encourager!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

My WW weigh in was this morning- down 2.8 pounds for the week! That's 32.9 pounds total. It feels GOOD.:teeth:

Katholyn:

I am so happy for you. That new clippie looks fabulous. You are doing so great.

All you words of encouragment are an inspiration to all of us. We owe you so much for keeping us going.

God Bless You!

Lyn:bounce: :jester: :Pinkbounc :earsgirl:  :teeth:

Well, this is my first week weigh in, but I must say everyone is doing great. And you guys are so very nice, and encouraging. Congratulations everyone, and best wishes and encouragement for everyone to continue or restart their programs this week.

WEEK TWO: Weight = 322 lbs.
Loss 6 lbs.
on W.I.S.H. Challenge on Atkin's Diet.

Day-8- Well, my first week on Atkin's Diet weigh day, and I weigh 322 lbs, and I lost 6-lbs. No sweets and no sugar, and more water drank for first goal met. I guess this week my goal will be the same, plus, find and get on the teadmill, and try to walk longer each day up to 30 minutes a day will be my goal. And I'm not hungry, and I need to go to sleep for work in a few hours. I am a little sleepy.

Best wishes and encouragement to everyone.

Sincerely, Ray :)

TidoublegaER I almost missed your post but since I don’t trust myself not to miss anyone since I missed Ahutton the other day, I went back and checked. Good thing too, I love reading about everyone’s progress, I would have hated to miss your post.

only lost .4

Do y’all have a telephone tree going or something? You read the check-in thread and take turns tormenting me by posting something like this? Is that what is going on here? It’s a plot to force me to get my workout isn’t it? ;)

What do you mean you only lost .4 pounds? Would you rather have kept that 6.4 ounces? Personally, I would be glad to get rid of those flabby ounces, myself. Just think, you have a little less to lose now. You are that much closer to goal...not further away...closer.

*sigh* I have to do everything around here. Lucky for you I love a good celebration :teeth:

:bounce: :bounce:WOO HOO!!! TidoublegarER lost .4 pounds this week, 6.4 ounces of fat are gone forever!!! :bounce: :bounce:

Whew, I’m pooped from all that bouncing around now.

Don’t get in a hurry, sweetie. Slow and steady wins the race. That wouldn’t be a cliche if there wasn’t truth to it, you know. You are on your way to goal. You don’t like your speed and I can understand that but you also need to recognize your success. You succeeded this week.

You are making progress toward your goal and that is something to be proud of so stand up straight, put a smile on that sweet face of yours and be proud. I’m proud of you and thanks for forcing me to bounce up and down, it burns lots and lots of calories ;)

KathyTX Whoa!! Another 2.8 pounds gone forever? Get out of town! Kathy you are just kicking up dust on that road to goal. You are smaller and you have that gorgeous new hairstyle. Gosh, you are just doing so well. I’m so happy and proud for you. One of these days I’m going to get within a couple hundred miles of that northern part of Texas you live in (it’s northern to us Houstonians, you know) and then I’m going to give you the biggest {{{HUG}}}. I can’t wait to meet you in person and tell you how truly proud I am of you.

So, sugar, you’d just better be feeling proud of yourself, too. You have lots and lots of reasons to be proud, this weeks loss is just a tiny part of that :)

You are 32.9 pounds smaller, you have one of those really, really pretty gold clippies and you are leading the way to goal. Good job, my friend, good job!

RaySharpton Oh my goodness look at you go! You had me worried there for a minute but then you just had to show out and lose 6 pounds in one week. How great! Have we learned our lesson about sneak weighing? Probably not ;)

Savor your success, Ray. I’m so happy and proud for you. I knew you could do it all along, though, I sure did. I knew you would be a success at this because when you put your mind to something it gets done better than anyone has ever done it before.

Where’s your new clippie? Were you too tired to add it this morning? You can add it later, I just love seeing everyone model their new clippies when they trade up, it’s very motivating and it’s just plain fun.

Good job, this week, Ray. You are on your way to goal now and you are 6 pounds closer. That’s a 24 sticks of butter, 120 slices of bacon–that’s progress. I hope you are feeling proud of yourself because you have an excellent reason to be proud. You are a success!

I hope that no one minds that I often tease you on the check in thread. I truly am proud of each and everyone of you and I truly want you to learn to celebrate your successes, especially if they are small successes. If we smile and have a positive attitude we will reach our goal just as fast as we would if we were sad and disappointed or frustrated every week, but we will have much more fun getting there. Sometimes the difference in perseverance and surrender can be something as simple as a smile, a positive attitude or a kind word from another WISHer. I would hate to think that someone gave up and I hadn’t said a word to try to keep them motivated. That would make me sad. So if you don’t like me to tease, or if it upsets you when I tease with you, please send me a private message and I won’t tease you anymore, honest.

I thank everyone for their kind words but if I inspire it is only because I have been inspired by every single WISHer on this forum. I truly appreciate each and every one of you.

Onward and downward my friends :)

Katholyn
