I am looking to eat there during my trip and wondered how good is the view for the parade? Are there people in front of us to block our view? I never ate there before. TIA

We ate there last year for my DD's birthday. We had PS for 4:30 and requested a table along the edge of the patio. I think it worked out perfect for viewing, and the food was REALLY good.

I don't think I have ever eaten there during a parade, but the patio is right on the parade route. I would imagine that if you have one of the tables right on the wall you would have a wonderful view. It would take some waiting to make sure you got one of those tables though.

Thanks for the tips. I am sure others would want to know too. Are the characters that close for DS(3) to view the parade? We've seen the parade before, but would still like to participate with the bubbles and other fun stuff too. If you sit at WCT, do you miss out on that?

Yes, as the winery is elevated above ground so you are back a ways and up above the ground at least 5 feet, not sure. Find the spots the parade stops if it does and park there. Otherwise, along the wharf where there is a railing and the tide pools is a nice place to watch parades.

We had a 'parade view' table quite by accident at Wine Country Trattoria in December, and it was 40 degrees or under outside. No one else was crazy enough to sit outside BUT us, so we had our pick of tables. The hostess and servers thought we were nuts for wanting an outdoor table (and my coat was in the hotel room). It was a nice little surprise to see the parade. Of course, you sort of look down on the parade from a distance rather than being eye level with it, so you can't interact with passing characters or anything, but it was a decent view.
