Wine Around the World

We've never tried plum wine, & the posts on here have peaked my interest. We love ice wine, which is very sweet. Is plum wine similar or is it more like a port? TIA

I'd put it somewhere in the middle. Plum wine feels a little thicker than ice wine, which tastes really "clear" to me - very crisp, if you know what I mean. Do you not like port?

I love it all - plum, ice, port, and the above mentioned Rosa Regale. It's all good!

Some decent wines coming out of Baja Mexico. They had tastings from the LA Cetto winery at F/W last year (and I've visited that vineyard in Baja). They're not super great, but they don't suck (IMHO).

Love the Rosa Regale at Italy!

IF--anyone is interested in printing out a T-Shirt transfer celebrating WINES AROUND THE WORLD. You can go to the CREATIVE DISIGNS board ---one of the VERY talented DISIGNERS made one for me to wear at EPCOT. You have to do some searching for the thread--but it is there under Wines Around the World as the heading.

I do like port w/ some things (like chocolate). I also enjoy Rosa Regale w/ chocolate. I love ice wine w/ everything. Given a choice, I'd choose ice wine 1st, followed by Rosa Regale (or similar sweet sparkling wine/ champagne), then some ports.

Then plum wine won't be your favorite, but give it a shot!
