Wine and Dine 2015

We thought it was alright. Not the best, not the worst. Enjoyed the setting more than anything. We are planning on an ADR for Thursday simply to complete our version of drinking around the world, 4 parks, 4drinks, and 4 rides. We might even get crazy and throw in a character picture too!

We ate there shortly after they opened as well and weren't too impressed. We went back though in January because the kids really wanted to go and I thought it was much better. Again, not 4-star dining or anything, but pretty good. Of course, we were also starving, so that might have colored my perspective. ;)

We haven't done BoG for Dinner yet. We have an ADR for our October trip but not sure we're going to keep it.

The breakfast was a lot of food when I was there this past weekend.

Thursday we'll probably enjoy dinner at Crew's Cup. Friday Tutto Italia.

Whew, such a hot run today! 83 degrees and humid but we still had pretty good timing. 2.5 miles with an average pace of 11:07 min/mile :thumbsup2 For now we've settled on 1:1 intervals and they seem to be working out better (especially for my fiance) than the longer run and walk intervals.

Not sure if anyone on here has heard of this before, but I did see people on here talking about it last year. Beat the Blerch has add three 10K/Half/Full Marathons locations for this year. One is in Carnation, WA on September 12th and 13th (tickets go on sale April 13th), One is in Morristown, NJ on September 26th and 27th (tickets go on sale April 15th) and the last race is in Sacramento, CA on November 14th (tickets go on sale April 17th). The two locations that have two days there is a 10K/Half/Full Marathon both days. There will also be a virtual race for those that cannot make it to any of the locations. Those go on sale April 13th.

The Morristown one is only about an hour from me. I'm hoping to sign up for the 10K. There was only one location last year and it was so popular (sold out as quick as the Disney races) they added the second day for those that didn't get in in time. Can't find the price for these races. If I find them I'll update this post

Here's the link if anyone wants to check it out: http://www.beattheblerch.com/

I'm really tempted by the Morristown event. Not sure if I'd do the 10k or the Half though. And it's the week after our trip to Hawaii. I'll have to think about this...

I was really tempted by this too. I heard good reviews about their race last year on the West Coast and have been waiting for this announcement. I was excited when I saw they had a race in New Jersey since I could drive there easily and stay with family. But of course it is while we're already on vacation somewhere else :( I'm flirting with the idea of signing up for the virtual race. It will depend on the price.

Honestly I'm not the one who's super excited for Be Our Guest. That would be the BFF and her hubby. I'm always willing to pay for good food though, so I was hoping the quality would be there. Too bad you weren't overly impressed. I'm thinking of ordering the sauteed shrimp and scallops...the pics online look yummy.

I have to say I was also unimpressed. The food was good, but it wasn't fight over ADR's good. It really is more for ambiance than anything else. Also, for me the ballroom and the west wing and very cool, but the music box room is just really boring. Knowing they don't seat that room during dinner, I didn't care about which of the other two we ended up in. So, of course they opened and seated us in the music box room. With like 3 other tables. The Beast didn't even walk through like he does the others. He walked in the doorway and waived. I felt like I was in detention the whole time! So if anyone does it, I'd request a specific room at check-in.

@AThrillingChase We have always been seated in the West Wing or The Ballroom, Beast has always waved.

Yes, which is why we were surprised we were not seated in either of those. Maybe they do it when tables aren't moving along quickly enough for ADR's or something, this was just about 6 weeks ago. We saw Beast walk through at least the center of the ballroom from our vantage point, waving - we know he doesn't stop - but he didn't enter our room and barely slowed down as he walked past the doorway waving. And the only reason I know that is because I stood up to see, since they put all 3 of the tables sat in there against the back wall behind the dancing Belle and Beast blocking the view. I didn't really care so much about seeing him, but the whole time we felt secluded in a very quiet, very very bright room. It did not have the same ambiance, which is really the only reason we went. I've also gone multiple times for lunch and I think I prefer that. We are trying breakfast out next month and I am excited about that.

We have only ever tried BOG at lunch, but the food was delicious and not ridiculously priced. You don't get the Beast interaction (or lack thereof it sounds like), but you still get the atmosphere.

The in laws are coming back today from a trip to WDW. One day was an EP/MK day, and the second day was all DHS. I'm a little envious they got to enjoy some Flower & Garden festival. The pics of the food look great. Makes me crave F&W even more. 212 days and counting.

And yes it's envious, Not jealousy.

I've been to BOG for lunch many times and went for dinner after W&D last year. It was okay. I didn't care for the server. I will gladly return for lunch any day of the week. I don't gave any great desire to return for a dinner seating though.

My parents are in town visiting from across the country so last night I brought up my dad coming to be "live in Grandpa" while we go to Wine and Dine. He said he'd love to so now we/he just need to get my mom on board. They always come for Thanksgiving so it would mean staying with us for a month. He'll enjoy it, but my mom doesn't like when he's gone that long. So hopefully the seed is planted and it will all work out for DH and I to have our first kid free getaway since we got married!
Good luck - that is our plan for the 2016 Wine and Dine (it will be our first since we got married too). Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

So I dreamed I was running a half and the course was very complicated. It was like a maze and I kept getting lost. And they put me in the very front and made everyone wait while I started so I had no one to follow. I woke up very frustrated, lol. I had a great (for me!) time of 90:00 but I wasn't sure if I ran the whole thing, lol.

Can anyone tell me if there is still a way to sign up? The runDisney page says all providers are sold out, but I'm running Tink and I know bibs for that were still selling a few weeks ago.

I went out on a limb today and tried a longer running interval. Made a bigger jump than I originally intended to (went with 1:30/1:00) but I did pretty good, although it was a rather short outing, but if I keep at it, I think I'll be fine. Doubt I'll attempt that interval for Tink next month though, but I would like to start getting used to running for longer amounts of time. No more telling myself I can't do it!

We ran our longest distance so far during our training regiment trying to get ready for our 10k in a few weeks. Four miles with an average pace of 12:03. I think I really got in the zone mentally around 2.5 miles in and by the end I felt like I definitely could've run another 2 miles fairly easily. It was cooler than our run on Friday (only 74 degrees) but the humidity was at 90% :scared:

My understanding is that all the travel partners are sold out. From what I can gather from other posters who really wanted to run, even the charities are out of bibs. The RunDisney page can confirm this for you.

As @Mickey'sfriend said, everything is sold out now. You could maybe try contacting Travel Agencies/Charities and see if you can get on a waiting list. I've seen people get bibs over the last week or so because their wait list came through. :)
