Wine and Dine 2015

Hershey 10k this past weekend. DW finished in 1 hour 14 minutes and 14 seconds. I came in at 55:29. Both very happy. Some didn't like the shirt color, but we were fine with it; we just wished they put the year or date on it.
Now to find some other races.

Well that's interesting...so no more Friday night EP EMH but they park is open until 10 now instead of 9. And the MK closes at 8 on weeknights even on non MVMCP nights? That is just silly Disney.

My guess is those hours will be extended. It is likely Jersey week (haven't seen their off days in jersey). We have been there that week a couple of times and I am pretty sure MK usually ended up being at least 10PM on non party nights.

Has anyone started thinking about costumes? I have like A MILLION ideas, but I can't really decide!

I always have more ideas than I know what to do with! But I never actually end up following through on any of them. Maybe this time? Probably not. I know for whatever Disneyland Half I do again I want to do the portrait of Mary Read from Pirates of the Caribbean (or if I do DDD again, both her and Anne Bonny).

Didn't they start the no Friday evening extra magic hours last year? Cuts back on the amount of visitors stumbling into their resorts from a super Drink Around The World.

We decided on Beauty and the Beast :) I'm going to do Belle's yellow dress. I know it's been done a million times but it's one of my fav Disney movies!! What are some of your ideas?!?

Ok you guys, I have to admit it - my motivation is seriously lacking right now and I'm not sure how to fix it. I just feel stuck. I haven't gotten out the door in the morning for almost 2 weeks and there's really no good reason why not. Any good tips to get me moving right when the alarm goes off and I want to just go back to sleep?

They still did the 11pm EMH on Friday nights as of PHM weekend this year. Though, I believe the F&W booths generally aren't open for EMH anyways. 10pm is fine, I just liked being able to get on soarin and TT with less people. I have no idea why they'd even bother putting 8pm down for MK. I am sure it will change as it gets closer, but seriously? That has always been the park staying open the latest so for it to close at 8 just seems silly.

Early AP registration opens today at noon for marathon weekend. I think I want to do the half, but it is soooo far away that I am just not sure what I even have going on in January. But, with the sell out rates I'm afraid to not sign up and then want to do it!

The 2 things that work for me are to make plans to meet up with people for a run (I have an old running group I started meeting up with again because I was lacking motivation too) or an upcoming race. I'm not training seriously for anything until I start training for Wine and Dine in July but I have a 10k in June I want to use for proof of time so that's giving me some motivation as well.

I signed up for a few 5K's when I was struggling with motivation. It got me going and I just signed up for a 10K that's this weekend!

So, my costume for DLH was pretty easy. I'm going as an Old School Mouseketeer (just gotta make the shirt and figure out a way to make it so I can pull my ponytail through the back of the ears) like this:

Wine & Dine is a lot more difficult. It's at night - so maybe I go as a villain? But it's after Halloween, so that might be silly - but I watched Disney night on DWTS and was LOVING Rumer as Ursula.

Then I thought about a Haunted Mansion attendant - but since the route doesn't even go through MK, that might be dumb too. Then I thought about Mary Poppins - since she's not really a Princess, so it wouldn't work for Princess Weekend. The Jolly Holiday dress would be cute and festive, and not to difficult to put together.

And then there's Figment. Which is totally EPCOT, but would take a little creativity to come up with. Which may very well be the front-runner at this point.

I'm probably going to save Belle for the GSC - I thought about Blue Dress Belle for the 10K and then Yellow Dress Belle for the Half (she's my favorite). But I also think some of the Aurora ideas on Pinterest are pretty adorable.

Then I thought Lightning McQueen would be something different and fun.

I just don't know. Grrr!
