Wine and Dine 2015

Going to get a few hours shut eye before getting up at 3am here to register. Good luck everyone. Fingers crossed my alarm goes off!

I am a bundle of nerves this morning! Good luck registering today everyone! Especially those who have to wake up in the middle of the night to do it!

How long does this race typically sell out in? I assume if I'm on at noon, I shouldn't have any problem? Is the best plan of attack to use the active link? I assume the runDisney website just links to the active.com website?

I've never signed up for a runDisney event, just wondering what the actual process is.

Quick question about registration... Can you register more than 1 person at a time? I planned on registering myself and g/f as she is working and won't have access to a computer until after.

Thanks a bunch!

You can only do one person at a time.

The demand/rush put on the system usually causes issues. It should last a couple hours at least. I'm not sure about the multiple runner registration though.

Thanks for the heads up, I will do 2 registrations then. Good luck to everyone today, hope you all get in :)

So during registration if my goal time is 1:44:48, but I have no official 10k or half's, do I just not put in any goal time?

It's hard to predict. Last year it sold out in a little over 24 hours, but I wouldn't count on that being the case this year as well. Every year all the races are selling out faster. My prediction is that this year it won't take more than a couple hours to sell out. I probably won't be able to be on today at the stroke of noon (maybe 5-10 minutes after) and I'm freaking out.

BTW, this is my first time trying to register for a runDisney event as well, so I am not up to speed on the process either.

Your goal time is your expected finish time. It could be realistic or unrealistic. Doesn't really matter but just to be safe with your registration I would not leave anything blank.

Your corral placement will be determined when you submit a Proof of time (POT) which opens in middle of April and closes a few months before the race weekend.

I didn't know if I was required to put in a POT if I put in an expected finish time. Guess not?

POT is no longer input during registration. It opens at a later date. See below:

Proof of Time

Please remember, Proof of Time to support your anticipated finish time must be provided between April 16, 2015 and August 4, 2015.

If you believe you will finish the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon in less than 3:15 hours, proof of time is required for start corral placement. Proof of time is not required for the 5K race.
  • Proof of time must be provided from a certified race—10K or longer—and must be from a race after November 1, 2013.

If proof of time is not provided by August 4, 2015, data provided is incomplete or cannot be verified, you will be placed in the last start corral.

I had my first runDisney nightmare last night. I dreamed that I forgot about registration until 20 minutes after it opened and registration had changed to a ticketmaster like ordeal where you had a certain amount of time to move to the next page. Somewhere in there I thought I was registered but found out later that I wasn't and it was sold out. Why is this so stressful :confused3

The active link looks different than about 1/2 hour ago. I'm hoping it's because they're preping it to activate it at 1200EST.

So does the link on RunDisney.com for registration just pass you on to the active.com link that's been posted here?

@mbwhitti
I've also been wondering why it has to be so stressful! I've been sick to my stomach for the last to days worrying about getting registered! How crazy is that??

I set my alarm on my phone in case I'm too hungry for lunch at noon and walk out of work without registering my DBF. I can't wait until this is over!! Haha!

But then the stress about getting in enough training starts.....
