Wine and Dine 2015

I set my alarm on my phone in case I'm too hungry for lunch at noon and walk out of work without registering my DBF. I can't wait until this is over!! Haha!

But then the stress about getting in enough training starts.....

Lol... I put it in my calendar for 11:30 for the same reason... and to make sure no one tries to pull me into a lunch meeting! So now it looks like I'm busy from 11:30 to 12:20, which I am :)

Thanks all for the advice about the room. Really starting to freak out about registration! If I'm registering myself and my bf I have to do it separately? Should I make him an active account or can I register him under my account?

Thats what it looked like that for the Disneyland Half - It went active at about 11:56AM EST.

It should be good to go!

So when people say sign on 10 minutes early then start refreshing 5 minutes early, it should refresh to look like it did yesterday (ready to start inputing info)?

Tonight I was enjoying the BC thread and someone shared a video of the renovated rooms and Hidden Mickey's at the resort. (Ironically it was done by the owners of the company I work for…small world!) I showed DH the rooms and he's like, yeah, those are nice. Then they were talking about walking to Epcot and the Boardwalk and all the fun things and he said, how come we haven't stayed there? I said, well, it's a little pricy. He said, "adults only trip". I said, "wine & dine" and he high fived me. I think that's guy talk for book the more expensive room? Now I just need to crunch some numbers!

I saw that video too! The new rooms look great. I'm really excited to stay there. My DH and I are also choosing to splurge since it's for Wine & Dine and an adult trip.

Ditto. I moved one meeting up a bit so I'd know I have time to shut my office door and start obssesively clicking refresh at 10 minutes before time.

You don't have to register at all under your active account. You do have to do them as individual registrations though. If I remember right it seems like after you finish registering once it asks if you need to register another person (although it's possible I'm remembering that from a different race registration site). Either way, just go back in and then complete the registration for your bf. That's what I'll do for me and my husband. If you are planning to be ready to register as soon as the link goes active, you should have plenty of time to do both.

I'm freaked out too and ready to get this over and done with, but realistically, I'll be surprised if it sells out in just a couple of hours. I'd guess somewhere less than 24 hours. But who knows?!? I know I don't plan to take any chances.

Should we do a guess of how long to keep ourselves distracted while we wait. :rolleyes1

I'm guessing 13 hours. :teeth:

Well, previously it said FULL and I assumed that once it went live that the Full would go away and you could register. But, now when I click my link I get a message that registration is no longer open. So, will that same link work do we think? Instead of FULL going away, it will just change from the sorry message to an active window?

Again to be on the safe side I'll probably keep the runDisney site up along with that link and just click refresh for both of them until one or the other goes active.

T minus 2 hours 19 minutes...

I have them open side by side already, lol. On both my computers! I wasn't stressed about registering until I started reading on here, lol! I have to register my DD25 first, since it is all going on her card for now, then myself.

This is the same way it looked before DL Half registration went live. It should work.

Ok thank you!!!!!

I'm going to go with 4 hours :)

Ohhhhh I think less.. 3 hours and 15 minutes.
Ps I just booked CBR

It may be a little different. It should have all the race options (Half, 5k, and Kid races) and then the next screen will look the same.

I'm going to guess 5 hours

I was going to guess 5 hours too! So I'll say 6 hours. I'm guessing there will be a delay with sites crashing.

I'm still debating whether or not to add the 5k. I'm thinking since it's an adult weekend maybe we should put the money for the 5k towards staying at the BC. Thanks PP for the idea of splurging since it's an adult only weekend.

Debate to figure out in the next hour:

Half vs. Half and 5k

Debate to figure out shortly after:

Shades of Green vs. Beach Club

Kind of related because of $$. And husband was no help, he said to do whatever I want about the 5k. I haven't started talking to him about where to stay. I'm thinking of surprising him with BC as its his favorite resort from childhood...

Seriously, my job is super low stress. Every day... Except today! Do they know I am stressed about registering, so every one got together and decided to have issues today?? Storeroom refusing delivery, vendors calling upset, copies of purchase orders "missing" (yeah, check your inbox!!), janitor decided he had to do our office floor today! Seriously! Whew, okay, rant over. :)

DD25 and I are staying at Bonnet Creek. We went back and forth about changing it to onsite, but since I have Wyndham points to use up, we decided to just keep our reservation there. And the cash we will save by not paying for an onsite room will more than pay for taking taxi's (or Uber) everywhere.

I am going on the shorter end and say less than an hour to sold out. I will be trying to register from my cell. Not stressing. If I get in I get in. If not then I will do more local runs. Going to start doing a sprint triathlon or 2 this year. I want to be in shape enough to do an Ironman when I hit 60 in four years.

I am trying to get corned beef & cabbage started for dinner tonight, but am so stressed out I'm slacking! Gotta get it in the crockpot so it's done by dinnertime. After registration I'll make soda bread. No way I can handle that now! I have the active link up and noticed it had changed since before, but also have the runDisney site up just in case. My card is sitting by the computer. Fingers crossed we're all successful and the stress is over soon!

Of course this is the day at work that things act up :( I hope it clears up for you in time for the 12:00 registration! And we're staying at Wyndham Bonnet Creek too. My parents are joining us so we wanted a 2 bedroom condo and we felt the same way about the savings over DVC or 2 onsite hotel rooms... it will allow us to rent a car and have money left over.

Good luck everyone! Almost one hour to go. This will be my first Wine & Dine. My wife and I usually run the Tower of Terror, but sadly that tradition is gone this year.

Just wanted to say good luck to everyone!! I'm really nervous...not sure if it is because of how fast races sell out or because this is my first half marathon. haha It's starting to get very real for me now. I think I'm going to book the hotel today too. Might as well get it all done.

I would love to stay at the BC, the rooms look beautiful remodeled. Just don't have the funds for that. I have to decide if I want POR or POFQ. Decisions...decisions. lol
