Yes, We stayed there in may this year and really liked the place the only bad thing was it's not completely finished and were woken at 6:30/7:00am most days by road works diggers lorry etc. But all the villas looked amazing and brandnew, saw quite abit of wildlife in the mornings aswel.

We stayed in a villa there called Disneydaze last May. It was great. The villa was beautiful and the complex was lovely. We didn't use hardly any of the facilities though as we were so busy at the parks.

We are now DVC owners so I dont expect we'll go back to a villa in the near future, but I would not hesitate to recommend the villa and the complex to anyone. Both have websites that you should be able to find easily on google. I spent ages looking at all the photos before we went.

Have a great time!

thanks for the info so far, getting up early is o.k,whenever we visit orlando we are always up up very early.Mandy you say you are now DVC owners, how has that worked out compared to your normal way of booking villas, etc.Iwould love to find out more about this if anyone can point me in the right direction?.Has anyone else gone down this road, please let me know your experiences.Would still like to hear more about WINDSOR PALMS RESORT,compared to other villas, etc.I think it makes it all the more exciting on the countdown to DISNEY 2005.

We were staying at Disneys Beach Club for 2 weeks each year and that was pricey even with an AP discount. When DD came along we went back to the Beach Club and had a great time, but really we needed more space and kitchen facilities. We liked staying at the Windsor Palms villa but we are Disney nuts and really prefer to be onsite.

For us DVC is worth it because we get a luxurious villa at some great resorts, year after year. We love it so much we bought extra points this year so we can go for longer or have bigger villas to take friends or family. Of course with the dollar being so weak earlier this year we got a good price.

It is quite complicated to explain how it works but if you read the FAQs at the top of the DVC boards here you will get the basic info. The villas are like apartments, they are so nice, you real feel at home. I suspect it is only cost effective if you go very regularly (every other year at least) and usually spend a lot on your accommodation. The way we were holidaying it will pay for itself in 7-8 years.

Hi we are staying at Windsor Palms from 15th to 29th sept, we have booked a 6 bed villa for 5 adults and 1 baby, so there should be more than enough room!!! This worked out far cheaper than booking hotel rooms or suites for us. I am really looking forward to our trip and will let you know what it is like when we get back. What is the address of the villa you have booked and i will look out for it!

I got home from Windsor Palms today. We were impressed with our villa but a little surprised at how thin the walls were - we could hear each other where ever we were in the villa.

The resort was well kept and having a manned security gate certainly made me feel secure. We had a look at the communal areas but didn't use them. There is a tiny shop in the clubhouse (full of British people buying teabags and bacon) but we bought our groceries at the Winn Dixie at Formosa Gardens Boulevard as we had to pass it to get to the villa. There is also a Publix a couple of miles further down the 192 (towards Highway 27).

We didn't hear any noise from the road building, but it is VERY close to the resort entrance (30 yards?) so I'm sure that villas that are on the outside edge of the resort would be aware of it.

We used the Sherbeth Road route onto WDW but got lost a couple of times, after a while we realised how easy it was. From Windsor Palms get to 192 and turn right. At the next lights turn left onto Sherbeth Road. Follow this road until you reach the traffic lights. Turn right and you'll pass Animal Kingdom and will see signs for other Disney destinations.

To get home follow signs to Animal Kingdom Lodge. Before you get to the lodge (just after Animal Kingdom) you will get to traffic lights. Turn left into Sherbeth Road and follow to the end. Turn right onto 192 and at lights turn left. Keep straight on until you get to Windsor Palms.
