Windsor Hills Resort

only about $100 for the heating and wife and kids will want to play :) so just incase, will go with heating ( and i dont do cold lol)

That's very reasonable so may as well go for it like you say. :)

We have always been in hotels with heated pools but our friends that were with us this Easter were in a villa 7th-21st April. They did not pay for heating and it was too cold for them to use it, even though the weather picked up(was very cold some days) it did not warm the water enough.

ok just been on phone to TA and cost of heated pool is £170 a week, not so reasonable now lol ... need to think how much we will use it now to warrent £340

I agree it's a difficult one, if it had been February or March the need for pool heating would have been an easier decision.
Personally I wouldn't pay that much - we are paying half that amount for heating next March and it's a new(ish) home we are staying at also.

TA's wonder why we do DIY holidays. That is most I have ever seen for cost of pool heating.
Thats all I pay for a hotel room with large pool at courtyard by Marriott.
When I have priced Villas always been quoted £10-£15/day

We are planning a last minute budget break next month and I'm hoping to get a 3bed townhouse at Windsor hills (if it's within budget) last minute by emailing the owners for a good price. Our girls love the water and a small private pool will be such a bonus.

I've done a fair bit of research (as I'm sure Wayne has to) and it seems like a lovely resort, close to the parks, clean, secure, well maintained etc etc.
The clubhouse also looks fab. I don't think I've ever heard a bad word said about it.

Another thumbs up for Publix here too - have only been to the one near premium outlets, better quality food, very clean and friendly, helpful staff.

Yup next trip i think we (nope we will) source a villa ourselves and car hire and tickets and book direct with virgin for flights. Being our 1st time on a plane and a holiday outside of the UK, i think we were a bit nieve by going to a TA and thinking we got a good deal :( oh well such is life lol. this holiday was a bit rushed as we wanted them dates as only dates we got free in the year and the flights were going as quick.

Back to heating, it does seem way over the top even going through a TA and we've got till 15 days before we go to decide, so will wait till nearer the time to see how the weather is going over there :)

Are you going on Virgin flights this time? If you are make sure to join frequent flying club, will give you good discount off next flights with Miles and Money.

I have never found Walmart cheap, called in a couple of weeks ago to price up a memory card son DS phone, they were double cost of getting them here. We are not big shoppers, maybe they do some good prices on non food, we just don't like there foods section.

Yup going with Virgin flight this time, and signed up with flying club the other day :-) still to read the perks in full but does seem good :-)

Have you signed up for all of you age 12 and over? Best way to do it is just 1 of you start then recommend others you both get a bonus then, too late now if you have done them all.
This past 12 month I have saved about £3,000 using Miles and Money, got roughly £300 per person off each ticket just for using 2,000 miles. Easter Saturday we flew for £291 each, great price for school hols. This we just got back off was £533 a bit more but full price was £833, August is always most expensive, so great savings.

We are staying at Windsor Hills 12 - 26th April 2008, so we may pass each other.
We are staying at the Royal Ascot 5 bedroom villa. We managed to agree a $100 fee for pool heat for the 2 week stay. Although it was originally more, but there is only so much cash to go around.

Please can some one tell me more about the short cut to WDW?

Let the planning commence......:dance3:

Click on this link to map of the area the road you need to take is Sherberth road, Takes you into WDW near Animal Kingdom, its a lot easier than going up World Drive. You can zoom in and out and drag the map about to get a good layout of Disney.

Never tried using the internal bus service between parks, I like being in control and don't like public transport, driving between the parks is very very simple. You only pay to park once per day for all parks so might as well drive between.
Did use bus service between ASM and a park 6 years ago when we were without car due to shortage. It was a nightmare overcrowded buses and ignorant people, glad they got us a car within 24 hours.

Sounds the same in my house. There is 9 travelling this year, youngest being my son who was born last week and the eldest my father (61).

We have booked a 5 bedroom all ensuite so hopefully should be ok. Booked direct with owner who seems very nice. Also got the pool heat for a reasonable price.

We will speak closer to the date of travel.. I will soon be here. Going to annoy the wife again now, asking her which meals on Disney she wants to do again.. She has only told me 10 times, but her face makes me smile.
