Hi Everyone-- we are planning a trip for the week of May 6th (staying at POR, no rental car). We got the free park hopper upgrade and would appreciate your help with our plans! I have never really park hopped before! We have two kids- DD2, DD4.

DAY ONE- Saturday- arrive, ADR Chef Mickey's 5:10- possibly go to DTD after dinner
DAY TWO- Sunday- AK, possibly MK in the evening
DAY THREE- Monday- MGM morning leave right after the parade for EPCOT. ADR Garden Grill 5:20. (hopefully check out Crush?)
DAY FOUR- MK all day, ADR Crystal Palace 8:05
DAY FIVE- EPCOT. ADR 10:20- Princess Storybook, later for lunch LeCellier 1:50- possibly head back to MK in the evening?
DAY SIX- Fly home

What do you all think? thanks in advance for any advice.

You really don't need entire day in AK so going to MK is good. What are the park hours for MK, parade schedule, fireworks, etc. on day 2.
You also don't neeed entire day for MGM, so goin to Epcot is good choice.
You giving yourself a whole day + part of another (maybe 2) in MK which is great for 2 & 4 yr.olds.
I think it looks great and you've planned well. Have a great time.

We love the evening fireworks at MK, so we park-hop quite a bit. Always on the AK day, either to MK or EPCOT for Illuminations, another favorite. We love that we can change parks for any reason we want.

Are they running a special right now for the park hopper to be free? I thought it was something like $35...i agree with the poster above me, you probably don't need a full day in AK. The way we use the park hopper is morning one thing, go back to hetl, then go somewhere differnt. We stay in the Epcot area so normally it would be MK in the morning (since we have to take a bus) then we go the MGM or Epcot in the afternoon/evening since we can walk back to ourr esort.

My family is of the opposite beliefs. We don't park hop. For us its more relaxing and we get more time at an actual park by staying at a park for an entire day. For us it just makes sense.

I also could never see AK in one day. I love that park (well I love them all, lol!) We actually spend 2 or 3 full days in AK. Possibly if we are all done on the 3'rd day we may go over to MK for the rest of the evening.

Kids are kind of young for a long day. Do they take a nap? I recommend a park each am until around noon-back to the resort for rest-back to a park around 5 for refreshed evening-that way you can enjoy a night show.

Looks good to me. Have a great vacation.
