Will You Chill Out if I Sprinkle You With Pixie Dust? The End p136 *New TR Link* p138

I know you are about to come home.....I sure hope you had a really great trip!! :goodvibes

Sorry I missed your send off. :upsidedow

I'm so envious of all the people who went this last week!! Did you get to meet up with Brook and meet little Henry? I love that you got to spend some time with Pat. :thumbsup2

Awwww-sheree. Thanks for the nice comments and everyone else, too. :). We closed HS last night. Well, almost. Made it to 11:45. Staying at BWV worked out great for the weekend. Cynthia going to MK today and I am undecided. Waiting for coffee, then run. Be home soon to reply to all the comments!

So much for sleeping in on my departure day. I have a 10:45 ME pick up time. I could walk into Epcot, but honestly I am whooped. Had a fun last night at MK and basically walked on to BTMRR, Splash, HM, people mover, and Buzz. Space Mountain was 55 minutes, so I skipped it. My feet gave out at 10:15 and I was back at the Boardwalk at 10:45.

I did buy our Premium Pass exchanges! Yeah! Saw so many DISers this trip. The only people I didn't see were Henry and Joe, but I got to meet both Sheree and Mary"s girls :)

Please be patient with me and replies. Two soccer games this week and i am supposed to rehearse for a Beatles show this weekend. But I may just drop out since I already missed the first rehearsal and I haven't learned a darn thing yet.

So that's it folks. Be back with comments as soon as I can!

Welcome Home!! Hope it was a great trip! Can't wait to hear all about it, because this time next year, I'll be there!!
Tiffany:)

Safe travels Mary Ellen :) hopefully you can catch a nap on the plane. Can't wait to hear about your adventures!

I just have to post this - I got to meet both Mary Ellen and Cynthia (among others) for the first time this trip. They are two of the nicest, friendliest people around!!! They have been having a great time and we bumped into them a few times (some unplanned). I feel so lucky to have met so many DISers on this trip!

Hey Poolrat Pat - are you on FB? I posted our group picture from the Epcot meet, but I couldn't remember if you were on FB or not to tag you. It was great to meet you too!!

I think you found me.....

Welcome home MaryEllen. Re-entry is HARD... :lmao:

I'm lost but still here hahahaha... thought I was way behind but I was actually up to date. Can't wait to read more!

So glad you're home Mary Ellen. :goodvibes

Don't worry about getting to your TR, it will wait and so will we. :)

I am all caught up. Way too much to comment on.

Hope your trip was Magical.

Hi, Mary Ellen!!! Judging by yours and Cynthia's pics on Facebook, the TR is going to be so fun to read!!!

I read your rope drop update this morning -- sometimes unhurried mornings at Epcot are the best! I agree with Cynthia -- having a boat to yourself would be both cool and weird!

Great TR as usual. I've had to catch up since I've been gone for several days
Being alone on a ride is quite fun, doesn't feel strange to me at all!:thumbsup2

Thanks!

I spent my last night alone in the MK on my most recent trip and I really enjoyed my solo time. Weird. I didn't think I would, but it was fun!

I need to force myself to start a TR, but life has been so busy & is about to get busier.

Can I just tell you how much I can relate to this right now? I haven't DISed in the past 4 days that I have been home. What a disgrace! :rotfl:

Anyway all caught up & waiting for the next installment.

Soon. I hope, depending on what happens with the power situation here.

BTW, liquor is sold here in state stores & the prices are higher than states that sell it in regular stores. I one bought a fifth of Jim Beam at a Safeway store in Arizona for $4.99 with a Safeway saver card! That was a shockingly low price.:cool1:

Wow - that is a low price. :thumbsup2 Nice!

yes, but I am almost caught up. It was a ton of junk mail!!! and multiple multiple dis notifications. :rotfl:

Ugh. I hate those DIS notifications! :faint:

It was a tease and my dd was a bit sad that we didn't get to go in the pool. However, I am not sure I want to stay there again. True, the theming is AMAZING... but it is a very active resort. LOTS of people.

That's how POP is. I know what you mean about "active". That's how all the value resorts are. In fact, that's probably the only thing I don't care for about the values. In some ways you still feel like you are in the park because it's so go-go-go. Otherwise, they are fab, especially if you get the right room locations.

That is so true it is about the experience..... and while I didn't expect to do my personal best... I didn't expect quite what she did. I was thinking between 2 hours and 2 1/2 hours. (12 to 15 minute miles) She was thinking 4 to 6 hours (24 to 36 minute miles). So the reality is we came in much closer to my desired time than hers. For the PHM though, I think we will be running at different paces. I would like to run (ie. not walk any of it) but stop for characters and mile markers. If my pace then is a 10 minute mile, I would think that stopping for those things may add a few minutes per mile onto my time giving me a 13 to 14 minute pace. Disney says that the pace to keep is 16 minutes per mile... so assuming good corral placement I doubt I will fear getting swept as much as I did for the ToT race.

That sounds like such a fun half marathon. I would love that, but I am seriously not sure if I can still run a half marathon. I pretty much stick to 5K's. At my age a half marathon may no longer be in the cards. :sad2: Still, something to consider.

Yep, I noticed that just running between POFQ and POR. I would have had to loop a bit.

Definitely. It's really not a long enough walkway and its boring to keep running out and back. I did like running at the Boardwalk. I found a lot of directions to run and I think I could definitely stretch out my runs if I needed to.

I was showing off Strawberry Shortcake I think (in that picture). We didn't have cameras back then (my family) so people would take pics when visiting and give them to my parents. Might be why I take 1000's of pictures now. :rotfl2:

Definitely a good reason to over compensate now. My family was the same way. They rarely took pictures. I have so few pics of me as a kid its ridiculous. Now I take a TON of pics. The digital camera makes everyone a photographer. :thumbsup2

After a full park day I'm happy to get back to the resort. I will say that.

I totally agree. In fact, I am happy to get back in the afternoon for my pool time. Such a pool hog, I am! :rotfl:

Hi, I'm new to your TR..I actually just started reading your updates a couple days ago and I have been whizzing right through! I love all of your pictures :)

:welcome: again merbobear! Sorry I had to give such an abbreviated reply. I really got into a time crunch right before I left. I was trying to edit hundreds of soccer pictures and there was no time at all for the DIS. Thanks for joining in!

I had to stop & comment on your upcoming cruise. Definitely get off the ship and check out Nassau! I went on a Bahamian cruise (Norwegian) in May 2007, so granted it has been a few years, but we really enjoyed Nassau. Yes, it is not resort quality, but it has a lot of history and it was actually quite beautiful. I have heard warnings to stay away from the city in the evening, and I would agree with those warnings! We were actually on our way back to our ship around 4-5 pm and it was getting a little darker, and it did start to feel a little unsafe (people approaching us trying to sell drugs, pan handlers, etc).

Thanks for sharing your experience. That is what I am looking for - history and beauty. I think you can find the beauty in some of the roughest of places and I am always looking for new photo-ops. I doubt very much we will stay in the city much past 3 or 4 hours, so I think we will be good.

My advice is to go on an excursion while there. We took a jitney tour (like a mini bus) and we did visit the Queen's Staircase (amazing) as well as a couple forts. The driver/guide told us a lot of info about the island while we were driving around as well, and it was a really nice way to see all of the sights, but still feel like we were in "the cruise ship bubble"...not quite the Disney bubble, but we felt SAFE! Our tour also included a visit to a pirate themed museum. I could take or leave that museum. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it again. Then we were free to explore on our own, and we did some shopping in the straw market, got my hair braided, etc.

Good to know you had such a positive experience with the jitney tour. I guess you sign up for that through the cruise line? My DH is a history geek, so he would definitely enjoy the forts. I like that kind of stuff too, although I can't remember much about the historical parts. :rolleyes1

All in all, I would say Nassau was a can't miss for me. If we ever cruise to the Bahamas again, I would definitely get off the ship to explore. In fact, I would most likely take another jitney tour to the same sights. Whatever you do, please please see the Queen's Staircase. It was a highlight!

The pictures on trip advisor look really amazing, so that is something I really want to do. So glad to hear you liked it so much. It sounds like a wonderful place to play with my camera. :thumbsup2

Said this on facebook already, but it's worth saying again!
Have a blast!!!!

OMG - We totally did! I loved F&W and can't wait to go again next year. SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!

Hope your trip is filled with pixie dust :tink:

It was! We had such a good time and I think I really got some pixie dust with that last room view!!!!!!!!!

See ya real soon! :)

C - It was so much fun to see you. I really enjoyed our little impromptu walk around the world. I hope you got your wine home safe and sound! :thumbsup2

Have a magical girls' trip

It was a wonderfully magical girl's trip and I think F&W is now permanently on my trip list!

I am SOOOO envious! Even if I AM going in 2 weeks myself- there's just an TON of awesome DISers that are going to be there now that I would LOVE to see- lots of foodarinos! :goodvibes Have a blast-:cheer2: Save some Ice Champagne for me!

So you should be getting ready to go right about now. I hope Sandy doesn't interfere with your travel plans.

I got to see all the DISers on my list except for Henry and Joe. But we did get to meet Brook. It was a great trip.

That ice champagne was pretty darn yummy! :thumbsup2

Uggggg! All of you already in or heading to WDW right now are killing me!

It was really a great time to visit. I can't wait to go back next year. I think Denny will love it! It was so fun!

Hope you have a great time, have a cosmo slushie for me!!

I regret to say that I did not have the cosmo slushie, but I did have the sparkling white wine with kir from France. I needed a quick buzz, so I went with the sparkling wine. Such a lush! :rotfl2:

Have a safe & magical trip!!! pixiedust:

Thanks! We had such an awesome time! I hope yours was great too and I can't wait to get caught up on your adventures!

Have a wonderful trip!!!pixiedust::goodvibes:

Thanks! We had such a wonderful time. F&W is definitely a great time to visit, unless, of course, you are pregnant and can't taste all the yummy wines and beers. :rotfl:
