Will You Chill Out if I Sprinkle You With Pixie Dust? The End p136 *New TR Link* p138

Parking at the beach club for Epcot AND filling your SSR resort mug there! You are such a rebel! ;) Not that I've ever done that or anything...:rolleyes1:rotfl:

Great choice with Tangerine Cafe, those three sliders are a perennial fav of me and DH! I can never decide if I like the lamb or the falafel one better, I can take or leave the chicken.

You got such nice pictures of WS, I love when it is first open and pretty much empty, I can't wait to see it again soon!

All caught up but struggling to stay that way.

Going in the back way is soooooo nice.
Good use of the QSDP and a nice wa to spend couples time. :)

I agree we may need alterations on those outfits in Morocco. :rotfl2:

If nothing else we need a Kodak moment with them...for free. :rotfl:

I can't believe you're one month away from F&W! I'm so jealous. Just remember to go get a drunk little cucumber.

Man, I'm telling you, those $399 Premium vouchers are going to be a lifesaver! I'm buying mine at the end of the year to activate next July. Sweet.

My Mom and Dad did get off at Nassau and they did say it's a bit on the old side. Don't let anyone take your picture there. They'll ask you to pay them for it after they do.

Awww, a picture of the old DVC symbol. I miss it....

Um, the adult portion of the trip is bound to be the best part! No sniffling, no sniffling.

When I go to park at a resort, I just tell them I'm there for dining. Normally, they don't ask me where. It doesn't matter that I'm dining somewhere that is NOT in the hotel.....

Wow, that was a lot of people at World Showcase.

Oooohhhh, Tangierine is my FAVORITE!!!!! I think I have eaten there my last five trips. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

That Marie picture is totally like a paparazzi picture of her. It would be even better if she was blocking her face....

I love using the QSDP and think it's such a great value. I don't find the standard dining plan to be as good of a value.

Nope - it's been advertised here for about a week. Too good of a price to pass up. You can have one too! :cool1: I doesn't have to be activated until the end of next year.

Wow, thanks so much. I tried to find something about it on the DVC website but there's nothing that I can find. I did find it on allears though. I must have missed the announcement. So glad you mentioned something!

That sounds pretty cool. You didn't walk around Nassau at all, did you?

No, I had actually booked the Atlantis excursion and mom changed her mind and wanted to stay onboard and enjoy the ship. It turned out perfectly because it rained that whole day.

Yay Yay Yay Yay Yay is all I can say!!!!!!! :cool1:

:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Great update. I love the France movie too. On your suggestion I told R & M about the sliders and they absolutely loved them. Thanks for the dining plan break down, that is really helpful. Things do add up fast that's for sure!

Loved looking at your pictures of Beach Club's beach. It's such a relaxing walk over to Epcot.

So appreciative of you including an analysis of the QSDP. I've often wondered about adding it on to a trip for our family. Thanks!

You really should stop in to B&C one of the times that you tell the parking lot that you will! It's a really cute place!

I have used that excuse so many times and I have wanted to visit Beaches & Cream forever, so I'm not really sure why I never seem to get there. Maybe I will finally visit in October. Cynthia leaves the day befoe me, so maybe I should head over there my last night. It always looks like its crazy crowded, but I guess I can handle it. :rotfl:

Glad to hear you had a good lunch at Tangeriene Cafe! We had an awful lunch there a while back, and haven't gone back since. But your meal looks much better than ours!

Really? Ugh. That's too bad. I have been sort-of afraid to try the Tangeriene Cafe for fear that I wouldn't like it. But seriously, those sliders were sooooooooo good!

The Beach Club and WS look so empty and peaceful in your pictures! I think you made a good choice by killing a few hours in Epcot while you waited to go to Daytona.

I think we made a good choice too. It's funny, but I have been on a mission to use this year's AP as much as possible, so I figured why not? Plus, even though I knew we would hit the world showcase again, it was weird to go almost a week without really seeing it during the day.

And I had to laugh at your Beaches and Cream parking comment, because whenever I go to BC for that restaurant, I always feel guilty explaining to the gate guard that that's why I'm there. I feel like he/she is looking at me going, "Yeah, right, you and about 100 other guests." :rotfl:
As a side note...the ice cream there really is good. Some of the best sundaes on property. :lovestruc

The last time we used that excuse the guard DID say "Yeah, you and everyone else". :rotfl: I guess I need to mix up my excuses a little bit. :rotfl:

I have seen pictures of those sundaes and they look amazing. I really, really, need to get there.

I've never thought about eating a QS lunch at Morocco before, but your photo did make the food look good. And I'm glad it was a hit for you, even after you thought you wanted sushi.

Once I got there I realize that I needed something more to eat than sushi. We had completely skipped breakfast and I was starving, so it ended up being the perfect choice. So good!

Mmm, Karamel Kuche...a great place to use up those last snack credits. :goodvibes

I had that in the back of my mind all week, so another reason it makes sense that we went to Epcot. I'm not sure where else I would have used them and we still had three left. It was actually hard to figure out how many were ours and how many where my brothers, so after serious calculating we realized we had 3, Nick had 1, and they had the rest.

I have a guess or two about where you were going, but I'll wait and see....:scratchin

You are probably right and it was a great little side trip! :thumbsup2

Parking at the beach club for Epcot AND filling your SSR resort mug there! You are such a rebel! ;) Not that I've ever done that or anything...:rolleyes1:rotfl:

I really am a bad @$$, aren't I? :rotfl2: I think I filled that resort mug at 6 different resorts over the course of the trip. I really got my money's worth, that's for sure!

PGreat choice with Tangerine Cafe, those three sliders are a perennial fav of me and DH! I can never decide if I like the lamb or the falafel one better, I can take or leave the chicken.

You know - I really wasn't sure which was chicken and which was falafel. :confused3 But the lamb was my clear favorite. OMG. I had no idea lamb could taste SO good. I'm so glad we decided to try that meal.

PYou got such nice pictures of WS, I love when it is first open and pretty much empty, I can't wait to see it again soon!

It really is so cool back there when it is first opening. I love it! It was the perfect way to spend a few hours before we needed to leave the bubble.

All caught up but struggling to stay that way.

Don't you just hate when life gets in the way of your DISing. I know you have a busy 3 weeks coming home, so try to stay sane and have fun! :goodvibes

Going in the back way is soooooo nice.
Good use of the QSDP and a nice wa to spend couples time. :)

I think it ended up being the best way to spend a few hours before leaving the bubble. I think it was an excellent use of the DP and I'm really glad we tried it.

I agree we may need alterations on those outfits in Morocco. :rotfl2:

I think you and Cynthia would be just fine, but without a serious crash diet for the next 6 months, I would have to special order a larger size. :rotfl2:

/
I'm almost back (back in the right country at least) and getting all caught up! I have to come back later for the pictures, too small on my phone.
I just want to say that I love Flickr!
Yayyy for the adult portion of your trip!!

If nothing else we need a Kodak moment with them...for free. :rotfl:

Oh - I definitely agree with that! :thumbsup2

I can't believe you're one month away from F&W! I'm so jealous. Just remember to go get a drunk little cucumber.

It's like 23 days now! :cool1: I have to try the cucumber rita, if for no other reason so that I can have my very own drunk little cucumber. :rotfl:

IMan, I'm telling you, those $399 Premium vouchers are going to be a lifesaver! I'm buying mine at the end of the year to activate next July. Sweet.

So excited about that deal. Yeah - finally something for DVC! :thumbsup2

IMy Mom and Dad did get off at Nassau and they did say it's a bit on the old side. Don't let anyone take your picture there. They'll ask you to pay them for it after they do.

:rotfl: I'll guess so, but can I take yours?????:rolleyes1

IAwww, a picture of the old DVC symbol. I miss it....

I really liked that symbol. I 'm glad there are some of those symbols left that they can't change!

IUm, the adult portion of the trip is bound to be the best part! No sniffling, no sniffling.

I was soooooooooo ready for adults only time by this point. It felt so liberating!

IWhen I go to park at a resort, I just tell them I'm there for dining. Normally, they don't ask me where. It doesn't matter that I'm dining somewhere that is NOT in the hotel.....

I never thought of just saying "dining". Hmmmmmm - I guess that would work, although at Christmas they literally looked for our name on a list at the Contemporary.

IWow, that was a lot of people at World Showcase.

It looked like a ton of people, but they all dispersed pretty quickly. It was weird. I guess I have never seen the world showcase before, just as it opened, so it struck me as strange.

IOooohhhh, Tangierine is my FAVORITE!!!!! I think I have eaten there my last five trips. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I loved it. I would go back there in a heart beat!

IThat Marie picture is totally like a paparazzi picture of her. It would be even better if she was blocking her face....

:rotfl: See, I thought she was snubbing me. I was thinking to myself "wow Marie, why aren't your posing for your picture?" She may have put her hand up over her face, but I missed that.

II love using the QSDP and think it's such a great value. I don't find the standard dining plan to be as good of a value.

I am very glad we tried it as a change of pace. I really enjoyed trying some new restaurants and I liked the fact that we weren't tied to an ADR every night. I never would have survived that.

Wow, thanks so much. I tried to find something about it on the DVC website but there's nothing that I can find. I did find it on allears though. I must have missed the announcement. So glad you mentioned something!

I'm glad I mentioned it too, because I would hate to see you miss out on that savings if the time frame worked for you. It's a great deal and I am happy that Denny didn't hesitate when I said I wanted to get two.

You were probably still away when the announcement came out.

No, I had actually booked the Atlantis excursion and mom changed her mind and wanted to stay onboard and enjoy the ship. It turned out perfectly because it rained that whole day.

I remember that. So what happens if you book an excursion and cancel it? I know you and your mom had a great day on the ship, so there is a part of me that just kind of wants to hang out on the ship. But the explorer, picture taker side of me, needs to look around.

Ditto baby!

Great update. I love the France movie too. On your suggestion I told R & M about the sliders and they absolutely loved them. Thanks for the dining plan break down, that is really helpful. Things do add up fast that's for sure!

I am so glad they liked the sliders! :thumbsup2 Yeah! Because based on what I have read so far, they didn't seem like they were loving anything yet.:rotfl2:

Loved looking at your pictures of Beach Club's beach. It's such a relaxing walk over to Epcot.

Thanks and yes, it is a great walk. I just love it over there. I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about the walk from the BWVs, but I loved that one too.

So appreciative of you including an analysis of the QSDP. I've often wondered about adding it on to a trip for our family. Thanks!

I'm glad you found it helpful and I do think it can save you money if you try to eat at the more expensive QS places. Just eating at WPE, the Pepper Market, and the Tangierine Cafe really boosted our savings. I think I did hear that they are going to up the price of it. Bummer.

I'm almost back (back in the right country at least) and getting all caught up! I have to come back later for the pictures, too small on my phone.
I just want to say that I love Flickr!
Yayyy for the adult portion of your trip!!

I looked at your post and thought to myself, there is NO WAY she can be home already, and then I remembered your stop in Toronto. I really hope you had a wonderful trip and I hope you are almost home by now and not too exhausted.

I don't think the Moroccan food would normally appeal to me, but that looks and sounds really good! Except for the dessert.

I've never seen the French movie! It looks beautiful!

That's why I think the DP is so worth it! You end up getting more than you probably would have (I normally don't get dessert anywhere) and still saving! It's great.

I felt the exact same way. I didn't think it was going to appeal to me, but it was really, really good. On the other hand, I have never been a big fan of bakalava (or however its spelled). Just seems like a waste of calories when there are so many other desserts to be had.

I've never seen the French movie! It looks beautiful!

It really is a great movie. Probably my fav because there are seats in there. ::yes:: The videography is amazing, as it is in all the world showcase films. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you need an AC break.

That's why I think the DP is so worth it! You end up getting more than you probably would have (I normally don't get dessert anywhere) and still saving! It's great.

I definitely think the QSDP showed its worth. And, honestly, since we had a car I would have maximized it even more if I could have been more flexible in my choices. There were a few restaurants we ate at simply because we had to for the convenience of the group.

I didn't know about those sliders in Morocco- and I happen to like the Tangerine Cafe and Moroccan food and lamb...(if it's made well)... :scratchin... the food there always feels a little healthier for some reason... threw in a little chickpeas and lentils...It's all good...

I think that Morocco is kind of romantic...especially when its not too crowded...small r romantic not big R Romantic...It's very evocative...

I love that film in France too... and probably see it almost every trip or a least every other... I would be curious to see what they could do with an update though...

Wine, Wine, Wine... very tempting... Have you ever done the Wine Walk (The Official Disney One-Not the Mary Ellen one...;) or have you just done tastings in individual Pavilions...? Deciding whether to do

Who knew there was some kind of a rope drop at WorldShowcase?

Marie was really quite the diva...

Ah nice beach club photos... can I cut and paste those...:rotfl2:

Oh btw... I was on Danielle (IheartDDuck) and she was calling the Cava in Mexico the Ditch and when I asked about it she mentioned that you might have coined the name... Is that just a commentary on the lighting/location or is their a more colorful reason for it...:rolleyes1

Exactly! I did feel like it was a healthy meal and I LOVE  chickpeas and lentils. I seriously could eat them every day! The sliders were really, really good.

It is one of my favorite areas. When we had the girl's trip in May 2011 I really explored the whole area and took every possible picture I could think of, hence the reason I didn't take that many this time. It is a very romantic area because it is so welcoming and calming.

I love that film in France too... and probably see it almost every trip or a least every other... I would be curious to see what they could do with an update though...

I do think Disney should keep their films updated and fresh. I love stuff like that, so I would appreciate seeing a new version.

:rotfl2: Not the Mary Ellen one??????:rotfl2: No, I haven't but I would like to. It seems that I sometimes hit the World showcase on afternoons where I need to travel somewhere. Hence, my reluctance to do so. But its definitely something I would love to try because I really do enjoy a good wine tasting.

Who knew there was some kind of a rope drop at WorldShowcase?

I surely didn't! Do you think it might be a summer thing?

Marie was really quite the diva...

Seriously, she was out in her full divaness that afternoon. Hmmmph!

Ah nice beach club photos... can I cut and paste those...:rotfl2:

Sure. Cut and paste away. I am very happy with the way the turned out. Having no one around really helped.

Oh btw... I was on Danielle (IheartDDuck) and she was calling the Cava in Mexico the Ditch and when I asked about it she mentioned that you might have coined the name... Is that just a commentary on the lighting/location or is their a more colorful reason for it...:rolleyes1

You mean - like did I end UP in a ditch after a couple ritas? :rotfl2: It could happen with those ritas, but No - Someone else on the boards cointed the term. It may have been podsnel. I can't really remember. All I know is I like the term "ditch" better than "cave".

Beach Club and World Showcase sounds like a great way to pass the time. Love it when you can get there and have the place so empty!

I confess, I haven't watched the France (or other country) film in years. Bad DISer. Bad!

I am loving your pictures.....especially the Beach Club photos! Making me excited to check in there on Friday!!!!

It sounds like y'all made a good choice going into WS for lunch! :thumbsup2

And Woo Hoo! for the QS DDP saving you some $$$!

Beach Club and World Showcase sounds like a great way to pass the time. Love it when you can get there and have the place so empty!

I think it was the perfect choice for that afternoon, especially since I was finally part of a group of two instead of a group of 9. I felt so FREE! ;)

I confess, I haven't watched the France (or other country) film in years. Bad DISer. Bad!

Well, you have an excuse. You have small kids so there's always that concern that it may not hold their attention. It is a good film, though, and a great place to escape the heat.

I am loving your pictures.....especially the Beach Club photos! Making me excited to check in there on Friday!!!!

Friday! Yay Yay Yay! :cool1: You must be getting so excited. I am glad my pictures help, although you probably don't need any help at this point.

It sounds like y'all made a good choice going into WS for lunch! :thumbsup2

I definitely think it was the best choice. I really enjoyed our couple hours alone in the world showcase. It was much needed.

And Woo Hoo! for the QS DDP saving you some $$$!

That was really a surprise because I was totally skeptical of doing the QSDP, but it worked out so well because (1) we didn't have to deal with money during the group meals and (2) I tried some new places I probably wouldn't have otherwise tried.

I'm going to say that I don't remember who coined that phrase, because I have visited that Ditch too many times. :rolleyes1

:rotfl2:

I'm glad I mentioned it too, because I would hate to see you miss out on that savings if the time frame worked for you. It's a great deal and I am happy that Denny didn't hesitate when I said I wanted to get two.

This just works out so perfectly, and saves so much money. I was going to renew my AP in December and then in March or June get an annual pass for the waterparks seperately. This is just fantastic. I'm glad Denny is onboard!

You were probably still away when the announcement came out.

Must have been, I just can't find anything about it. Allears says there will be an announcement on DVCs website 10/1.

I remember that. So what happens if you book an excursion and cancel it? I know you and your mom had a great day on the ship, so there is a part of me that just kind of wants to hang out on the ship. But the explorer, picture taker side of me, needs to look around.

I did a little research, and it looks like you can cancel up to 72 hours pre-cruise without penalty. You can also cancel onboard and won't be charged if they are able to sell your spot to someone else. If you happen to be sick they also won't charge you anything.

I was actually quite upset with mom for changing the plans, I was really looking forward to Atlantis. Her argument was that it was our first cruise and first time on the Dream, so why not just enjoy the ship that day. I knew I'd be back to Nassau on future cruises so acquiesced to her wishes. You could always do a half day of exploring and then go back to the ship the rest of the day.

I'm going to say that I don't remember who coined that phrase, because I have visited that Ditch too many times. :rolleyes1

:rotfl2:

That's because the Ditch puts all those foo-foo drinks in the world to shame. The only one that holds up is the Turtle Crawl. And that pineapple rita from DTD was a strong contender.

That really does work out well for you since you wanted the water park AP. Denny is totally on board, which surprised me that I didn't even have to convince him.

And here's a spoiler alert - partially because of the AP voucher it looks like we will return before NEXT October. My brother is booking a condo through VRBO next June and he has invited us to stay free of charge. How can I pass that up? It's an extra trip that I hadn't planned on, but perhaps it will be an experience to put a different twist on a Disney trip. After all these resort and DVC stays it will actually be interesting to see how an off site trip stacks up. For DIS Research and all that!

Must have been, I just can't find anything about it. Allears says there will be an announcement on DVCs website 10/1.

Cool. Because I will definitely be purchasing our vouchers before I come home in October. :thumbsup2

That's good information to know. Thanks. And I would think its probably fairly easy to sell your spot.

I think that's what we will probably do. Seems like the best of both worlds, although I want to hear about Cynthia's first hand experience with the Sheraton. She is making me wait until I see her before she divulges any information. popcorn::

I am too far behind to comment on everything, but I DID read all of your updates. I never thought to take pictures without a flash in the France movie...I'll have to remember that next time. We, too, love that movie and that is the one we never miss on a trip (the only one we missed last week was Canada).

I think Mark would like what you had for lunch in Morocco (me, not so much).

You took great pictures with your phone!
