Quick question everyone. We are currently booked 4/24-4/30 through Disney. We logged on at midnight 60 days out and made our fastpass reservations. I may have an opportunity to rent DVC points for the same timeframe. It would be cheaper, so we are considering it. We have rented in the past. However, is there anyway we can keep the Fastpass+ reservations we currently have? Or will we lose them?

My answer would be no but only if you can cancel only your accomodation but keep your tickets

That would certainly make sense. I'd hate to lose out on our Fastpasses. We got everything we wanted exactly when we wanted them. They're perfect!

I have read on another thread it's possible you'll be locked into your choices until the 30 day window opens, but I can't say how accurate that is.

Just be aware that at any moment, Disney could put in a fix to cancel everything once a reservation is cancelled and there wouldn't be much you could do about it. I can't tell you what the chances of that are, or even if it's a low or high risk. Just a possibility.

I actually called about this today. We may need to change our resort reservations if my mother decides to join us in May. The CM I talked to said we would not lose any of our fast pass selections

and that we would just have to link them to the new reservation.

Did you buy your tickets separately? (So is the reservation a room-only reservation?)
If so, then I think you will keep your FPs as long as you keep the tickets linked. But your booking window will close (you won't be able to change them) until 30 days.
This is what I think will happen as of now but of course anything could change at any time.

Is that changing from one on site resort to another? If so, that's always true. You can change your resort reservations with no problems at all.
