Will we ever get back?? Travis is Veteran of the Day!!!!

Two weeks at Disney sounds fantastic!!!
It sounds like it was a good idea that Rachel and Travis just stayed in the resort today. Connor will feel so much better tomorrow. PLUS they get to get out of the crowds for a while. I can't imagine being there when they have to turn people away because they are full to capacity!
I'm happy that you got two extra days! Sure do hope that you start feeling better before you leave.

Thank you SO much!! Poor Connor was talking about coming home again. He told Rachel "Let's go home so Daddy can come home!" Poor little guy, he knows Travis is going to have to go back to Iraq and at this point Travis is feeling it, so Connor is reacting. I told Rachel that when I get there I will take Connor to a park or DTD so they can have a bit of a break for awhile. Besides that I'll get to see Connors reaction to things now!! I think going to the MK tomorrow will help also. He loves so many of the rides there!!

I think that you are right about staying busy. I'm going to my mom and dad's next week and am looking forward to this busy weekend to make the time go faster. I can't imagine making the time past so that I can get to Disney faster!!
I'm sure that once Conner gets busy in the parks and you're there, he'll be better. I'm sure that he is thinking about his daddy leaving and that's hard for Travis. Hopefully everybody will be able to just enjoy each others company while they can. Focus on the now. Have a Happy Easter and here's to hoping the crowds thin down.

I hope when I get there I'll be able to take a little of the pressure off so we can all just enjoy each other. I think we will be taking a very low key approach and that should help tremendously!!

I spoke to Rachel and they accomplished quite a bit this morning in spite of the crowds!! They rode Buzz three times, it is now Connors favorite ride, astro orbiters, space mountain (Travis rode while Rachel waited with the boys), the speedway, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh twice, Barnstormer, POTC, dumbo and??? hmmm one more.

They went to SSR to check in and got in the congress park section with a dtd view!! They are armed with fast passes for their return to the park!!

They ate at Artists Pallette and Rachel made arrangements to pick up her cake late this afternoon!!

That's the only update I have right now. Connor is feeling better and they are having fun!!!!!

Wow!!! Thanks to all you wonderful dis'ers and the information you post!!! Rachel went to town hall this morning and asked if Travis could do the flag lowering ceremony and the cm's involved said YES!!!

They just got through with the ceremony a few minutes ago and there was a photopass photographer that took a bunch of pictures!! I can't wait to see them! This was not something that sounded fun to Travis but I gave him the pep talk, you know the one, but the boys would be so proud and you'll always have pictures of it so you can remember.

Well he was a good sport and he did the ceremony!! They used there fast passes and got out of dodge! Rachel said the crowds were very unmanageable.

Unfortunately she didn't listen to the food reviews I read here on the dis and ate at the Noodle station. Now you have to understand that my daughter prefers chinese food over all else and she couldn't eat it.

Well just thought I would share the latest!!

Most definately crowded!!! I had to stay home from work tonight as I am pretty sick. I have been having fevers I haven't been able to break. I had to go the store to get a few last minute things and the people in line were talking about the fact that they are going to wdw. What are the odds of usbeing in line together? They arrive the day we leave!!

Well lots to do, I'll update more tomorrow!!

I'm terrified that the crowds are going to be obnoxious during our stay. I hope the predictions are completely off. I don't understand how it can be worse in a slow economy.

lol, thank you!! I follow orders fairly well!! I took some medicine last night and actually feel a bit better this morning. EX St tylenol finally broke my fever also!! Thanks so much!

I can't wait to see the pictures!! I am also completely surprised by crowd numbers/levels. I know there is supposedly a recesion, but the strnge thing about when you are going in May is that the kidlets are still in school and being "off season" I'm shocked at the predictions!!

Feeling a bit better, I'm glad I stayed home last night. All the sleep helped I think!!

I hope everyone had a fantastic Easter!! I will post pictures from the kids week at wdw here and then most likely start a trip report when I get home. Thanks for sticking with me!!

What I've heard about the crowds is that Disney has made it possible for people to travel with the buy 4 get 3 free deal.......... They are no dummies, they know how to bring guests into their parks........

Disney is definately a well oiled machine that gets past any hurdle or hardship!! A good model for anyone who wants to start a business big or small. The difference between disney and other travel destinations is definately that disney magic, where family members of all ages can have fun and experience things!!

(They can even get their picture on the dis if they are line cutters).
