Will we dislike Stitch?

:( I just read the reviews on All Ears.net and they were pretty much all bad. I already feel dissapointed.

Is it really that bad?

What is so bad about it? We don't have kids and we are not worried about it being scary, or about restraints hurting our backs. But is it really as horrible as the reviews say?

I had not done Alien Encounter so I didn't know what to expect. It is cute but it has been overhyped. I did it several times and would do it again.

Thanks. I liked Alien Encounter, but it was not my favroite ride, and change does not bother me.

I'm just concerned about all the comments saying it was boring, had no story, etc.

It doesn't have a Wow!!! kind of story. But I would go back again.

It reminds me of the Drew Carry attraction at MGM that I can't remember the name. You are entertained but you don't feel like part of the action. Could they have done more on this attraction, Yes.

Don't listen to the reviews and try it for yourself. It's a nice place to just sit and relax for a bit.

I think you should definitely try it and make up your own mind. Stitch just seemed half completed to me. If they added a few more effects that you could experience in your seat, that would improve it for me.

We had never seen Mickey's Philharmagic either and that lived up to our expectations - very well done. Maybe our expectations for Stitch were just too high.

No one will know if you dislike it except you. I'm sure that you've seen movies or listened to CDs or read books that got bad reviews or that other people didn't like only to discover that you thought they were perfectly fine. Reviews are one person's opinion, and bad reviews tend to be "glommed onto" more than good reviews. When someone writes a bad review, everyone is very quick to agree and tell their own horror story. Good reviews don't get as much backup, IMO.

If you want to see it ... go see it. If you like it or don't like it, at least you'll be basing that on your own opinion instead of letting someone else decide it for you.

I didn't hate it, but also don't feel the need to ever do it again. I think my kids (DD10 and DS7) are in the same boat. DW thought it was stupid, however.

Can those who thought it was stupid elaborate a little bit?

What specifically did you not like?

WDW Searcher, I agree, we do plan to go on it at least once. I was just so happy about this Stitch thing and I really hoped it would be great. I have not really seen any reasons given why people did not like it though, aside from the dark scaring their kids.

We got to do the AP preview this past Sunday. We were looking forward to it. We did Alien Encounter once in 1998 (DH and myself). My 8 and 5 year old did Stitch Sunday with us. My 5 year old cried the whole time (loud, dark and getting wet).

My 8 year old said it was good but not great.

It was a bit confusing and seemed to be missing something. The end is anti-climatic (sp?).

I highly doubt we'd do it again unless there is no wait and my 8 year old begs me. It could definitely be improved.
