Will we be able to walk to DTD from THV?

We love to stay in Congress Park so we can walk to DTD. Will we be able to walk just as easy to DTD from the treehouse villas?

It will be a long walk, so if DTD accesibility by foot is important, you should probably stay at SSR.

I think the boats go until 11.

Yes. There is a pathway that connects the Grandstand area to the THV. We walked it last Christmas. It will be a little farther, but it will be doable.

You will walk past the GS section pool and behind the main building and take the path past the main SSR boat dock to DTD Westside. Or you could take the boat over.

I was thinking that a walk from the THV to the Marketplace side of DTD would be quite long... But then I didn't think about what you said about going to the West Side. So there is a bridge you can cross over there?

We walk that path almost daily on our morning walks around SSR and DTD. It is a putting hole so no dodge ball there

You can walk the path, once you cross the bridge, you veer to the left and the non golf path picks up again to DTD. If you veer right, you are on your way to OKW via the nature trail.

People staying in the Grandstand section in the 2 furthest bldgs will have a similar walk to SSR main area and DTD, maybe add 5-10 min for the furthest THV. Once we saw how close the THV path was over our GS room last Christmas, we were happy to book it for next Christmas.

Yes, you will be able to walk. There is a bridge across the canal near the area where the canal divides to go to OKW and PO and it's an easy walk from there to DD West Side around the parking area and you will not cross any golf course areas on that route.

If you are going to DD Marketplace you can walk thru West Side and PI to get to that area. It's not any further to get from THVs to the West Side than from Congress Park.

Oh ok great, thanks! We've walked to DTD many times but always on the Marketplace side. It'll be fun to try out a new way. I can't wait to stay at the THV! I wish we had walked over that way when we were at SSR at Christmas.

It will be a long walk, so if DTD accesibility by foot is important, you should probably stay at SSR.

The closest walk to DTD will always be Congress Park to the Marketplace - roughly 0.4 miles from the CP quiet pool to the Marketplace entrance. But it's not that mach farther from the rest of SSR to either the Marketplace or Westside. And from the edge of the treeshouses to the edge of Westside, it's only about 0.55 miles. From the farthest treeshouse, it's more like 0.9 miles, so a lot depends upon which treehouse you get. But, in any case, it's still only a 20 minute walk for most people.
