For our upcoming June trip, it works in our schedule best to see the nighttime parade & light show at MK on a Saturday evening. We plan to be at a different park during the day, eat dinner at 1900 PF at the GF (5:30), and then hop over to MK for nighttime events.

In the past, Saturdays have worked great for us since it has followed a Friday evening EMH. Without that now, I'm nervous about being at MK on a Sat., even if it is just for the parade & fireworks.

Will our plan be fine since we'll only be going to see parade so ride wait times won't affect us, or will it be even more difficult to find a spot to watch the parade and we really should try for a different night?

I think it depends what time the parade is. Dinner usually takes 2 hours or so and you might need 30-45 minutes travel time. That puts you at about 8:15 or so.

Normally in June they have two showings of the mep.. One before and one after wishes so you should be fine.. As soon as you get to mk you will need to find a spot ASAP.. We normally stake a spot and chill get popcorn or ice cream while we wait or one shops while the others hold a spot
