Will I be Herding Cats Again?* **** COMPLETED *****

WOW! Just gorgeous! You must be thrilled with the Photopass pictures. I love them! Megan was mezmerized with the pictures and video. I can't wait to take her some day. She'll probably be 5 before she has enough hair though!

Way cool! Love the archery lessons. Such a manly thing to do while the girls are primping.

The girls are always pretty but they were exceptional in those pics ( even with those crocs!). It reminds me of a time on one of the buses when a little girl had gotten on who had just been to BBB. Of course everyone on the bus commented on what a pretty princess she was. Her brother (who seemed a little tweeked that she was getting all this attention) informed everyone in a loud voice " She really isn't a princess ya know!"

Keep those pics coming!

The archery looked like so much fun! DD was beside me while I was reading and now wants to do that on our next trip. And I love Katie's BBB pictures! The on eof you and her from last year is just incredible--the sweetest thing. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the pictures.

Thanks so much! :goodvibes Archery was a blast for Michael (and a great price for Mommy) - I hope your DD likes it just as much!

Thanks Monica! I was pretty happy with the PP pics! They had a great guy doing the photography inside the boutique. He was really funny and kept snapping pics of the 3 of us watching. I might have to post a couple of them (even though they are horrible of me). Megan would probably be fine with the amount of hair she has now - look at Katie! Her layers on the side were sooooo short, I thought there would be no way, but the girl was able to do it! Even if it's not long enough in the back, as long as they have enough to make a 1/2 ponytail, they can leave the rest down and do the crown on the little 1/2 pony. Megan would be so stinkin' cute!!! ::yes::

That grin got me all teary eyed! Darn hormones! LOL

:lmao: Thanks Jill! Sorry about the tears. :flower3:

Thanks Lynn! I thought the same thing about the archery! So manly! :lmao: That is a cute story about the brother! I could totally see that happening. For now, Michael was still ok with the girls getting lots of attention...when he saw them, he said "wow, you guys look really pretty!" Awwww....(Yes, I know those days are numbered  )

Katie looks so adorable in all the pics, but I think this one is just awesome! The black and white to me invokes a "frozen in time" type of feeling; I'm not a parent, but I bet you wish they could stay little forever!

Emily is so cute! I love how serious she looks and how she cracked a little smile at her "reveal". I know you've heard this about 10 billion times already, but I think that in the above 2 pics she looks exactly like Michael. Sometimes I find it hard to find similarities in looks between brothers and sisters, but there's no doubt that these 2 are related!

Your trip sounds like it was so much fun; can't wait to hear about the rest. I wish BBB had existed when I was little!

Her pictures are adorable! Is she more serious than Katie? Looks like she is holding back from smiling in some of the pics. You can tell she loved getting made over again! Kaylee never smiles until the end. Unfortunately I don't think I'm going to book BBB for may. Anyway do you have pics of them together all made over in the matching dresses?

I wish the BBB had existed when I was little too! I would have totally loved it! I think they favor one another too...he has lighter hair, but they are both definitely more "my" side. Katie has more of Shawn's features. Almond shaped eyes, high cheekbones....

Thanks for reading! :goodvibes

Soo cute. Do you mind if I ask- how much is BBB these days?

I believe the crown package (hair and nails) was like $55. I kept my eyes open the rest of the trip for the stuff that they received at their appts - and it is really a decent value as the little crown, mickey barrette, makeup, nail polish, etc, etc...all add up. You really pay very little more for the "service" of the FGMIT.

Awwww Emily looks gorgeous too, I love her smile in the reveal photo :goodvibes

Thanks Jo! :goodvibes She was very happy!

Thanks Nichole! :wave2: See, I'm just the opposite...I think Emily is much more "smiley" in her pics than Katie was! :confused3 But yes, overall...Emily is more serious than my big goofball Katie! :rotfl: Yes, we got pics of them together...I should have those up next! :goodvibes

Day 4 - Magic Kingdom

Part 4 - The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly!

I am hesitant posting these pics, as they are not the most flattering, but I thought..what the heck...who cares if ugly pics of me are circulating on the internet for all the world to see? :lmao:

I forgot to add that our photopass photographer was a real funny-guy! He kept turning around and snapping pics of US while we were watching! Gee, thanks.

He figured me to be the Mom, so whenever he turned around from the girls he would just refer to me as "Mom". When we first started though, only my MIL was sitting there with me, as my Mom had gone to get the frozen cokes (which were really good by the way)!

I told him that MIL was "Grammy" and he continued to call her that the whole time. He really loved his camera, is all I gotta say. Always seemed to catch us mid-talk! Oh-so flattering. :sad2:

Then, my mom showed up and he was all...WTH? Who is she? LOL! :rotfl: I explained that she was "Grandmommy" and he started snapping away of her! She loved it! NOT!

Anyway, I'm posting the best of the pics he took. Believe me...there were some doozies! LOL! :lmao:

image387.jpg

(I seriously could have used some work done on me at the BBB!)

image383.jpg

(I don't remember what he was saying, but he was very funny!)

image385-1.jpg

(I know she probably wouldn't like this picture due to the squinty eye thing, but I love it!)

image467.jpg

Mom mid-video taking!

(After Katie was finished and we were still waiting for Emily, she pointed out a "hidden mickey" that she found on the back of the couch!) :rotfl2: Can you see it?

PA110266.jpg

Then the girls went to sit on the big throne and he took a few more pics!
image485.jpg

(Cracks me up how Katie is younger and shorter, but is sitting up so prim and proper so she looks much taller than slouchy Emily!)

As we were finishing up, he took one more picture of Grammy! He liked to catch us off guard, the little weasel! :scratchin

image489.jpg

We settled the bill and went to go find the Photopass person by the Wishing Well to get a few more Photopass pics before one (or both) of the girls wanted out of their dresses. Even with the comfortable dresses, you just never know...it was warm and sticky and I just wanted to be sure to get a few outside shots!

Well, for the great Photopass pictures we got at the BBB, we were "repaid" over by the Wishing Well with a Photopass CM that had the personality of a napkin! Ugh. :sad2: Oh well. Can't win 'em all!

He managed to take a few, but never did anything to make the girls smile or interact or ANYTHING!!! You hate to step in sometimes and look like a big 'ole control freak, but geez....doesn't he work with children all day? :confused3 Doesn't he have a few tricks up his sleeve to get them to grin? Unlike the PP CM's at the BBB...who can't really talk to the girls because then they would move their heads, or hands, or mess up the make-up applications, so instead they just take those in-the-moment pics....this guy had all the time in the world to pose them correctly and get some kind of expression out of them!

Oh well...here is what we got. Live and learn. Next time, Mommy will step in and threaten their lives or something for a smile! :)

image207.jpg

(Could he not even get Emily's hands to lay correctly? Come on man!)

This is the same picture with the pink princesses border which I thought might highlight the sashes and some of the flowers around the girls. What do you think? Plain or bordered?
image209.jpg

Now looking at the camera - still with no expression mind you - well, except for Katie's 1/2 smile!! :lmao:
image212.jpg

Pictures finished we headed back down the rest of that walkway on the side of the castle (past Belle's Storytime place which is very cute) and hit the bathrooms and the frozen lemonade stand. The girls wanted popcorn but there wasn't any there. They wanted to ride Indy Speedway, but the line was 30 minutes long and it looked every bit of it! Um, no. What to do? What to do? I am beginning to hate "unplanned" days! Everyone still looks at you as to what they "should" be doing! Ugh.

Up next....Do we find some popcorn? Do we ride anything? Do we do ANYTHING AT ALL???? :rolleyes2

Sara

Aww, the rest of the BBB pictures are so cute! Why are you complaining about the pictures of you? You are one of those photogenic people! :goodvibes The girls look adorable together and yes, I like the pink border.

We have a red Belle dress from my dress up trunk and it's so comfortable dd wanted to wear it for Christmas to church! I hope it's still long enough in another year for our next trip, but I doubt it. She may have to be go-go Belle in a mini-dress or something. :rotfl2:

Sara - sorry, I've been slacking again! Three updates to catch up on! Phew!

What gorgeous pictures of the girls! You have so many great ones - such nice memories. I forgot, do you scrapbook? I bet those would make a pretty page.

I think you had the same photopass CM at the wishing well that we had in MK on our party night - remember the lack of personality?

And by the way, you look great in the pictures! You really are very photogenic!:goodvibes

LOL about the girls' smiles (or lack of)! That 1/2 smile is hilarious! My kids have weird looks like that in pictures, too.

Thanks for your kind words! But no, I am not photogenic! :sad2: Add heat, humidity, and you've got a big old mess there! But oh well...I posted them anyway! I think I'm losing it in my old age! :rotfl:

One of the 1st pics that I put (from last year's BBB)- Katie is wearing the red Belle dress from dress up trunk! It is her favorite, but unfortunately too short now. She also had the Snow White one last year and ended up sleeping in it!!! Those dresses are super comfortable for the little ones!

"Go-go" Belle!!! LOL! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Geez Michelle! You are really bogged down with work, aren't ya?

Kidding, of course! I'm glad you finally came up for some air though! Miss you! :flower3:

I have done some scrapbooking, but now I just never get around to it! Its all the materials that drive me nuts! And since I don't have space to dedicate to it, it all has to be taken out and put back after working! So I've resorted to doing the mypublisher photobooks instead. Still haven't done one from this trip yet though. :rolleyes2

Well, the Wishing Well CM was a man, so maybe it was the christmas one's husband! :lmao: (It was a lady, right? IDK - I tried to block out that memory! :rotfl: )

LOL about the girls' smiles (or lack of)! That 1/2 smile is hilarious! My kids have weird looks like that in pictures, too.

Thanks for reading! Oh my goodness - it is hilarious the "faces" we get out of Katie! ::yes:: And Michael is at that oh-so-fun age where he feels the need to jump around and make faces behind his sisters! Ugh.

Sara

Hey! Not sure how I missed this! Great BBB pics of....the grown ups!LOL! Those CMs sure are hit and miss. Maybe the caste CM was related to our Photopass CM on Main Street. Remember her?:sad2:

The girls look so cute. I giggled at the visual of them on the Speedway in their dresses all made up! They really do look beautiful. I like the princess look MUCH better than diva. Not a fan of fake hair.

(BTW, I redid my TR so it's really short now. Please post so I can at least get up to 2 pages!:rotfl: )

Thanks Monica! If I had known he was going to snap PP pics of us, I would have worn my tiara too! :) Yeah, that PP guy by the well was Mr. Personality! :sad2:

The girls on the Speedway visual is pretty funny - maybe I should have gone ahead and ridden it! Nah....they would have been wanting out of the dresses had they waited in line in the sun for 30 minutes!!!

The Diva is not my favorite, but I think it's fine as long as the FGMIT leaves bangs! Two of my nieces last year had it with no bangs and yikes! It was like a big poof sitting on top of their heads. Made no sense whatsoever!
I was glad that they took my "gentle" nudging towards the fairytale princess style though! princess:

Sara

Behold the poof!! :lmao:

image162.jpg

This is my stepdaughter, Alison. We thought she looked like the Princess from "A Knight's Tale".

Love the update and the pics of all the Mom's. You are just as photogenic as the little Princesses! I wish we'd had such playful PP photographers when we were there with our girls. I think we had the female and male PP photogs ya'll are talking about.

Jill, Alison looks adorable! I think the poof that goes with the "Pop" Princess style is cute! It's funky, like it's supposed to be! :thumbsup2

Check out Katie's beehive by the end of the night last year:
PB190162.jpg

(It almost reached the top of her carseat! :rotfl2: She really loved it though!)

Or my niece (without the bangs or a crown to conceal some of the "lift", it has a weirdness to it - she probably should have gone for the Pop or the Fairytale, and considering that she was 12, the Pop would have probably been more appropriate):

She still enjoyed it though, so that's good. At least I think she did.
