Why? If you need certain pillows you can purchase them and have them shipped to your hotel.

Nope the pillows they have are the pillows you get. If you want different pillows then you'll have to pack them or ship them.

I think I have heard everything now!!!
Why would you even consider that Disney would go to Macy's and pay for an item that you want that they already have in their inventory.
As the others have said, if you want/somehow need a specific pillow, you need to purchase it yourself and pay to ship it to your room.

I can't speak for any WDW resort, but having worked the front desk at a luxury hotel, this is by far not the wierdest thing that one could request and have done. A concierge at nice hotels will do almost anything for a fee (and a tip). I have seen concierges run or arrange for someone else to run all sorts of errands. Shopping for clothes or other items is certainly not out of the realm of possibility.

I like my own pillow, one that hasn't been used by hundreds of strangers before me. If you can't bring your own have you thought about ordering from Amazon?

No doubt. I made the "Private Benjamin" comment because the OP seems to have a very inaccurate idea of the kind of hotels the WDW resorts are. They are not luxury hotels like the Four Seasons, etc.

Yes. This is certainly not unheard of in the travel industry, and I suspect it would be possible at the Four Seasons or Waldorf Astoria. At a Disney resort, though, you'll have to pack or ship your own pillows.

Just want to make sure I understand you correctly before responding; You are asking if a disney hotel (who have literally hundreds and hundreds of guests on any one day) is going to drive one of its employees to go pick up pillows from Macy's for you? What's wrong with the pillows that are supplied? Not fluffy enough for you?

With Disney resorts, the price is all about location, theming and perks, not luxury. Most rooms don't even offer a DVD player or turn-down service. The Mousekeepers aren't even allowed to leave Mickey-shaped towels anymore.

So, since it's been determined WDW resorts will not shop for guests, the OP could:

• Rent a car and go shop at Macy's;
• Use Lyft/Über/taxi to go to Macy's;
• Hire a town car to take them from the airport to WDW and use the grocery stop at Macy's instead;
• Hire a TaskRabbit (taskrabbit.com) to buy the pillows and deliver to the resort;
• Order from Macy's.com; see the Shipping to Your Resort sticky thread;
• Order from Amazon, ditto;
• Purchase pillows from Macy's at home, squeeze all the air out in a spacebag type unit, and pack or self-ship them.
