will hotel pick up pillows?

I say ask and see what happens. No harm. They once took a roll of film somewhere(walgreens?) to be developed and brought it back later in the week. (they volunteered , I didn't ask)

So, since it's been determined WDW resorts will not shop for guests, the OP could:

Has anyone actually called or contacted WDW and determined that they won't do this? While certainly not going to happen for free, I wouldn't be surprised at what they would do for an extra cost. I don't know if WDW resorts have true concierges, but they often make a lot of money off of going above and beyond. So seeing one saying sure, for the cost of the pillows and $100 I will pick them up on my way to work and delivered to your room.

They just don't have the ability really. Sure they may pixie dust dropping off film etc but the Disney insurance only covers people driving company vehicles on property. Now maybe a conceirge would be nice and do it on their way to or from work but that would be seriously going above and beyond.

I think we need to know what hotel it is first. All-Star Music, probably a big no. Grand Floridian... not out of the realm of possibility. If OP wants to share their resort and booking, we can probably advise better.

I've stayed at Grand Floridian (as well as almost every other deluxe Disney resort). They will not do that.

You don't get special privileges for staying at a deluxe resort. It doesn't work that way at Disney. You get a nicer hotel & room than at the values & moderates, better dining options, better pools, etc. But all Disney guests get a similar level of service, regardless of price paid. The exception is that there is a club-level section of each deluxe resort, but club-level services at Disney are minimal, and will definitely not include pillow-shopping.

WDW front desk CMs and concierges are not allowed to take money from guests. (And no, their concierges aren't the same type of concierges you get at luxury hotels.)

Once I forgot to leave a tip for the housekeeper, so I stopped at the desk to drop it off. No one there would touch it until a manager showed up- they said they would lose their jobs for taking money.

Disney is all about a regimented system of guest privileges, to keep the experience manageable for everyone. You can't slip someone a $100 bill and get an unavailable dining reservation at Disney. Or an elusive FastPass. Or a pillow from Macy's.

You might get pixie dusted by a cast member who, free of charge, decides to be extra nice and go above and beyond, but that's not something you can predict and count on as a guest service.

Another option would be a personal shopper. I would think they could drop off items purchased for someone. Personally, I'd just bring mine. If you are flying, put it in one of those space bags where you can suck out all the air with a vacuum cleaner--it will pack smaller.

I do have to say though, just when you think you've read about every type of request, this is a new one.

I do love special pillows myself but just never occurred to me to think that a hotel would go buy a special pillow, even Four Seasons types. Though I guess I have seen some crazy stuff on TV shows that guests ask hotels to do. So this fits right in there I suppose

I wonder if We Go Shop would do this. I've read about people considering using them when arriving at a Disney hotel and realizing they forgot something that they need. (People usually use them to buy groceries to be delivered to a Disney hotel.)

Personally I would also hate for someone else to pick out my pillow. I need to lay on it myself to see if I can sleep with just the one, or if I need two to give my neck/head the right comfort level or if I need something softer/more firm.

Disney actually has runners that do this exact thing. I don't know about Macy's specifically, but we have had runners go to Target to get us a new suitcase.

Wow. Where were you staying, and what were the details?

What's wrong with the pillows that are supplied? Not fluffy enough for you?

FWIW inbeinf ny own pillow because pillows at hotels are Germany too fluffy. I need a nice flat pillow. Otherwise it's rotten neck and headaches for the whole trip.
