I finally got the discounts for Ft. Wilderness that I'd been seeking, so I'll have more luggage with my camping gear than I can handle personally.

I'm flying and camping, which is possible. I've done it before, but I used Mears last trip.

This trip, I'll have two 24-hour car rentals from Alamo using the Dolphin rental location.

I will gladly tip a porter for help all the way to my rental car.

What is the usual procedure. Will they follow you all the way to the rental car, or do they wait at the door, and I drive the rental around and meet him at the door?

Thanks for your help!!!

Not sure about the skycaps but I am sure if you tip well they might.

There are luggage carts available for a $3 rental.

I had thought about the luggage carts, but if my memory serves me, they are not flat on the bottom. I'll have two rubbermaid bins. I don't think they will sit well on the carts. The skycaps have the flat dollys.

They will follow you. Alamo can call them to help you back in the airport. Be sure to leave yourself a few extra minutes on your return.

Thanks so much!!!

I'll have plenty of time on my return, as the car has to be back by 3:30 to keep it under 24 hours and my return flight is at 5:35.

On the return, I was planning on going to curbside checkin, dropping the bins, then returning the car. If the line at curbside check-in looks really long, I'll do what you suggest, go straight to return the car, and have a skycap meet me at Alamo.

Our rental was on the Emerald aisle and the skycap helped us from the baggage carousel all the way to the aise, packed up the trunk of the vehicle we picked gave him a tip and we were off!

I had a boxed stroller and plenty of suitcases and it was very easy.

Next time, if I have Dh with me, one of us will pick the car up and pick up at Baggage Claim. If I am by myself with the boys we will use the skycap.
