Hi, we are going to be at Disney Dec. 2- 8. With the first and last day being mostly travel. So we really only have 5 days to do parks. We have hopper passes, but I was reading the boards and alot of people say that with young kids MK is a definate must at least twice. ( I now agree. lol) So, We were planning on taking her to
MK first
Epcot second
MGM thrid
AK fourth
Sea World last. *she LOVES fish*

So, is Epcot one that we could do in maybe 1/2 a day combined with Animal Kingdom, or is that not possiable? Or should we just skip Epcot all together, since I hear that it is alot of stuff just for adults.

She will be getting up late on most days, since she is a late rising, night owl..if that helps at all.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Nicole J

Since she is a night owl, I would do AK in the morning/early afternoon and then head to Epcot.

We took DD last month, she is 2 3/4 old. We actually split AK/MGM into one day, and did Epcot a whole day. It's just so big, and for us it's our favorite park. DD loved it. She liked doing the Kidcot stations throughout World Showcase, and really just loved seeing everything. DD is a bit of a night owl too, so we were able to see Illuminations which she enjoyed. I would never think of skipping Epcot, even with little ones. But if you want to split it, I agree that AK in the morning and Epcot at night is a great plan. One day we did MK til early afternoon and hopped over to Epcot and it worked out just fine. Have a great time! :flower:

DS4 loves Epcot - but more for the 1st part rather than the countries. One cool thing was the Crush (the turtle from Nemo) exhibit - he talks to you, interacts - this is in the Sea Pavillion. DS loved it. There's also a 3-D show, I think it's Honey I Shrunk the Audience. Oh, and Test Track - DS went on that 4 times.

We always include Epcot, there is enough for us for a half to a whole day

My 3 year old DD and 5 year old son LOVED Epcot. I only planned to spend one day touring Epcot last trip because I didn't think they were old enough to enjoy it but.... boy, was I wrong! They loved the Kidcot stops and having their passports stamped.

Next trip, I'm allowing for 2.5 days for Epcot and we are going to take it much slower and take it all in.

Thanks to everyone! I think we will enjoy the 1/2 day at epcot, and AK, then if we have more time on our last day, at MK (for the second time.) we will hop around and catch stuff we missed at other parks.
Thanks again!

hmmm...my family needs at least 1.5 full days for Epcot-we just love it!

To answer your question about your DD I think she will like it. My 2.5 year old constantly talks about the Imagination ride and "The ball ride" :goodvibes . (yes, she does have a really good vocabulary).

Our kids are now 6 & 10 and have been to Disney many times and EPCOT is our favorite park. There are lots and lots of things to do! One of the things I like best about the park is that it has more space - so when you have the little ones they have more freedom to walk (and run off all that energy!) with less risk of running into people all the time like at the MK.

My oldest had just turned 3 last year when we went and she LOVED Epcot. She liked all the flowers, she loved playing in the 'leaping' fountains,' and we actually found Princess Aurora, so that just made her day. I think she liked it b/c it was a little more relaxed than the other parks...we actually took the time to just stroll instead of running to beat the crowds...

My kids both really enjoyed it at that age. We found AK to be worth of a full day with little kids (we have zoo kids), MGM was a half day park for us.

With so few days and a little kid, you will have to resign yourself to not doing everything - and not even doing everything that you'd like to get done. Get a good guide book....mark down A B and C attractions for you, and then figure out how much time you think you'll need in each park.

My son was 3.5 when we went in 2003 and he enjoyed Epcot more than AK. He liked the kidcot although by the last 2 countries he was almost too tired. He never rode in a stroller so by the end we ended up with him on Dad's shoulders. We spent extra time in UK playing THomas the train at the gift shop. We went to allow for the fireworks in the evening which he absolutely loved (and up until then he hated loud noises).

When we visited last December, our DD was 3 and loved Epcot! She enjoyed the Kidcot Stops and decorating her mask, the bands playing in the different countries for dancing to and seeing all the characters - both in Future World and World Showcase. She also enjoyed Spaceship Earth, Maelstrom and Journey Into Imagination.

If you can, I would try to make it there even if only for the afternoon/evening.

If your little one loves fish, she will probably like The Living Seas at Epcot. We really enjoyed it - lots of HUGE neat aquariums. The Kidcot stations in each of the countries is a lot of fun for them to and makes for a nice way to go at a little slower pace since they take the time to stop and add to the mask that they can get at the first station they go to.

My DD3 loved Epcot when we went in Jan. She still talks about the "ball" ride, Turtle Talk with Crush at the Living Seas was awesome, don't miss this. The jumping water at Journey into Imagination & the ride (still miss it the way it was..sigh), the Princess Brkfst In Norway, the "Viking" ride had just enough of a little drop for it to be thrilling for her, enjoyed Mexico too.

Epcot is also a nice break when you're at MK and it starts to get really packed in the afternoon. Always seems a little calmer in Epcot

Yes, they will love Epcot. My two sons now 3 and 6 loved in 18 months ago and loved it again last week. They like the 2 boat rides in the country, but loved the educational side and especially the big ball ride.
