Thanks! We are staying at the Lodge for the first time this June and I will make sure to catch one of these shows.

Yeah!!!! I will be watching it in two hours. Okay, so I have it taped, but it's still exciting!!!

Thanks for the reminder. Our group of 12 will be staying there in July. Since I'm the designated "travel agent", we're having a vacation planning pizza party at our house in a few weeks. My DH, DS and myself have stayed at WL many times (in fact, VWL is our home DVC resort) and absolutely love it. I'm going to tape the TC WL episode and play it at our get together. I still get goose bumps everytime I see that show on the Travel Channel!

The WL is Awesome! We leave next Sunday and my kids may pop from all the excitement! We've never stayed at the WL and watching the show helped us get a better feel for the hotel and grounds. I'll post a report upon our return.

I watched it today with the kids and they are excited that we are staying there. They also got excited about the scenes with the Ft. Wilderness campfire and want to do that. I haven't done it in YEARS -- literally, probably 25 years. Guess we'll be packing the bug repellant!

The funny part was when the host said "there is not a bad view in the place." She must not be aware of the Villas' famed "dumpster view" room way down at the end... I guess a TV host doesn't get assigned to THAT room!

Colleen - I said the exact same thing! Obviously she didn't see the dumpsters! HA!

My kids were bursting when we watched. They want to go 'now'. :p
We are staying there again in January.

Interesting thing.....I was considering staying in a villa this time. The kids are getting older, are used to having their own space, and it seemed like a good idea. I was planning it to be a surprise.
When they showed the villa on the show my daughter pipes up with, "Oh man! Not a kitchen in a hotel room. I don't want to see a kitchen when we are on vacation!"
I was so surprised. Now I have to rethink the villa idea.
Maybe connecting rooms instead.

SillyOldBear, that kitchen is great -- just don't force anyone to cook! We had a 2-bedroom this Spring at OKW when we were with my parents and it was glorious. So much space... We went to the Winn Dixie and got all sorts of snacks to have on hand. Plus there is all the extra living space -- it was hard to see on the show because it was so quick -- but you have a tv, couch, table, etc. WOW! Don't let any naysayers talk you out of a Villa!
